Like any big corporation they don’t care about people they are just numbers.
If in a few weeks or months time they reemploy people to do there jobs zthey should threaten them with wrongful dismissal. Probably won’t happen but it would be great negative publicity.

OK but how much of just one player's wage would it take to keep those jobs going at least for the time being. It's gross. They are even saying they need the money to invest in new players!!! WTF! Even if all those 55 are earning £500 a week, which I very much doubt (if they are catering, shops etc) that is not even 10% of just 1 of some of their player's wages.

Hate that club so much!
They dare call us the enemy of football, a club that ensures all staff receive 100% of their pay during lockdown, whilst they spunk money up the wall on mercenaries and make 55 ordinary people redundant.
We, a club still reeling from being unceremoniously booted off the gravy train are looking after ALL our staff. All whilst they, a club akin to a pig with its snout in every trough shamefully let go of their own.
Our reward for looking after our employees? Restrictions on investing in the businesses future, under surely illegal regulations, solely designed to keep the pigs at trough.
The real joke is that they sold it as policy designed to help the small clubs. Oh how they must laugh.

Disgusting. Ozil on £350,000. About to offer Aubameyang £250,000 . About to sign Willian who will be on about £150,000 .

Oh don't get me wrong it's a very hateful thing to do. It's happening across the board, how many of the WHSmith employees will be remarkably asked to come back once train journeys are popular again? I see Gatwick is firing a load of people only to ask them back on lesser wages. It's a nasty old world alright.

One of the 55 is a scout and apparently it’s an area they’re looking to cut back on anyway and their youth teams.
It’s all part of a grander set of cut backs that were going to happen anyway but with Coronavirus used as the excuse.
Or so I’ve been told!

The weekly pay for the 55 staff is probably less than what they pay Ozil for a day. It speaks volumes about Arsenal and modern football.

Shocking. I know its not the same situation but its like United Ripping up Sanchez contract. Aparantly paying him a fortune tp go. Its everything that is wrong with modern football.
Hope Arsenal change this decision.
