There won't be a Wigan deduction - the entire media think they've been innocently shafted so the EFL will find a way round it via "exceptional circumstances" I think there will be a Wigan deduction, but if they appeal it could it conceivably be carried over to next season if it drags on? The EFL rules are pretty black and white. If administration takes place after the fourth Thursday in March the points deduction can be applied in the current season or the following season depending on the table after all games have been played. If Wigan successfully appeal it will open for door for other clubs to purposefully enter administraction to shed themselves of debt.

Why is GD irrelevant? If us Boro or Birmingham lose both our games and Luton win both of theirs then it'll be decided by GD! Where did you go to school lad, they're five points below us. If we lose both our games and they win theirs we are down. Is this why everyone but me has been celebrating safety, cause I'm the only fucker here that can even count? Read again, it’ll be decided between us, boro and Brum on GD.

If Stoke, Birmingham and Middlesborough lose both their games and Charlton win one of theirs, the team with the lowest goal difference will be relegated..

Ah, but then we're just assuming another scenario where we're safe. I desperately hope we will stay up, i think we probably will but i'm going to save celebration for when we're mathematically safe.

That's fair, but I don't think GD will come into it, if it does between Brentford and Forest our GD may well get absolutely wrecked tbh.

Don’t you all think that you are being unduly negative- both Huddersfield tonight ( who were below us) and Barnsley on Thursday Showed that if you put pressure on the so called top sides, then they are actually not that good. WBA had the best away record in the Division and looked like a side that was average at best. For the first time, the pressure is on Brentford- even a draw will give them the advantage going into the last game- but if they lose- what a golden opportunity they have missed. Given that Leeds and WBA have struggled against teams that were or are below us, I really don’t get where this certainty that we will lose to Brentford is coming from?

Yes if we lose both and Charlton win one they’ll almost certainly finish above us on GD. So we’d need Boro to lose both (doubtful), Brum to lose both (possible) or neither of Hull/Luton to take max points (probable). There’s basically tons of ways we can stay up. We’re 99.5% there but a point tomorrow would be the best way to make sure!

Isn’t it a disgrace that these Sky commentators don’t actually realise that Huddersfield are mathematically safe? They aren't These Sky commentators really are very well informed aren’t they?

Well brentford will either co e and take us apart or they will be very nervous and pushing for the win may leave them open to a sucker punch. I personally think we will lose this, draw at forest but the results will go for us tomorrow

Looking at goal difference, a draw would not be a bad result for Brentford

I love how panicked everyone is.
A team below us on the table beat 2nd place tonight but there is absolutely no chance of us getting any points from our last two games!!

That London derby QPR vs Millwall could be pretty important after all, since Hudds play Millwall away as their last game. ⚽ Hudds are safe now. Practically yes. Hull can pass them though.😉
