Kin hell things must have improved on the football side if this is the grumble of the week. I quite frankly couldn't give a shit if people drop off and pick up there, I've got bigger problems in my life to even give a second thought to such a minor event.

There was a lad killed a few years back think as before a Villa game so not really a minor event. We wouldn't want it to happen again and people still doing it doesn't help.

Was that because of cars dropping off and picking up? I vaguely remember something happening but no idea where it was and the circumstances. If it was due to that then I retract my statement. No offence intended.

I think he was dropped off and ran across the A500 ....I get what you mean and if people in still traffic then fair enough and to be honest I think school runs are far more dangerous as how many parents park illegally then pull out on traffic without looking waving to kids etc. I see it daily in the morning and they simply have no awareness of the road in some cases. Is a school I pass going through Nantwich and is dangerous to pass at a certain time, people parking wherever they can to drop off and pick up and the same at football. Where's Tufty the Squirrell when you need him ?

Where's Tufty the Squirrell when you need him ? No its a fair point. Traffic rules are there for a reason. And as unlikely as it may be that cars dropping off there cause a death they still shouldn't do it. I was just trying to make the point there are worse things going on. And by the way I don't drop off or pick up there but I see it going on as I park down at the Michelin. The ultimate point is the club and the relevant authorities should come up with a better plan to manage match day traffic. The reason people do drop and pick up there is because it is such a horrendous driving experience to go anywhere near the ground. Either way I retract my potentially insensitive comment.

Anywhere where you have 20,000 plus people leaving, arriving at a similar time will cause traffic chaos. There's only so much you can do re parking and getting out of the ground is bad but are far worse grounds. I guess is laziness on some parts as people want to be dropped as near as possible and you get it at concerts etc . I guess if the same was to happen again re a pedestrian then fingers would be pointed at the police etc as folk do love to blame someone these days for every mishap going.

I park on the Harvester, but when i leave & get on the dual carriageway there are quite a few cars that parks up to pick people up on the slip road.., what we need is another version of the excellent driver from many moons ago that used to pick us up from the Gardeners Arms & drive us to the ground like a Formula One driver, was it Frank?? i know he passed away, but you got your Money's worth with him driving the Coach..

This roundabout stuff sounds fun. I think on the way home from work tonight, I might pull over on Viccy Road roundabout, parallel, and just wander about a bit. If anyone challenges me or the police attempt to stop me, I'll simply say 'Highway code mate' and continue on my way. Update, I died attempting this. Posting from the afterlife.

Update, I died attempting this. Posting from the afterlife. Which end of Vicky Rd? As if I was coming from Staffs Uni way. Rather than give way to the right I just overtook the person in front of me and attempted it. And that’s how i accepted into heaven.

If you'd done it near the incinerator you could have speeded up the whole cremation process. And kept the lights on for a few mins.

They will probably put traffic lights there now - after this fatality.

Nasty roundabout that one. A bit too small for the amount of traffic using it. You know, in all seriousness I’ve seen some absolute arseholes driving on that roundabout who just decide they’re going to pull out in front, whether you like it or not. They always seem to forget the rules of the road upon approaching said roundabout.

We've probably still got a few blokes knocking around that might know how to dig a tunnel .....

Hi there, Were any other fans harassed on Saturday afternoon whilst being dropped off on the road over the A500, near the incinerator? I know the Police have had a heavy presence recently to prevent parking but on Saturday there was one particular PCSO giving it large to folks being dropped off. Is there anyone else out there who took offence to this particular invdividual's attitude? Mr CW. does it have no stopping signs? Commonsense to any one with a care for other peoples safety.
