well for me if there is no intention of buying dont loan to them.if someone came in for one of there top players they would expect good money, these clubs have been in the champion league they get good money out of that Ahmet agaoglu the president of trabzonspor , is a billionaire and one of the richest men in Turkey . He has a massive property empire and connections with the qatari royal family . Trabzonspor are backed by qatari money in a similar way ,to the way in which man city are backed by Abu Dhabi It may well be that both clubs end up getting banned from European football for a year or two . But that doesn't make them brassic in my book . Without checking my bank statement , I can gaurantee to you that a Turkish billionaire is not skint compared to me and nor are the qatari royal family . It may well be the case , that Tony scholes finds negotiating with one of the richest men in Turkey , hard going , and difficult to say the least . But that doesn't make the club , which sit top of the Turkish super lig , and play in a brand new stadia holding 40,000, brassic. If scholes is out of his depth and can't deal with them .Then he should deal with someone else. thanks for that mate, thought all along they were having our pants down

Look at the transfers in that league. The biggest is 6.5m. It doesn't matter how rich he is if they're not prepared/able to spend it. Look at the link and show me where the money is.

In their bank accounts English football spends way over the odds. If I was Coates I would spend top dollar on a football savvy sporting director to be in charge of transfers. Scholes isn't that man

I can't abide Scholes but how the hell is he meant to get a transfer from a league where they clearly don't want to spend? And if that's the only market for him and that he wants to move then we're fucked.

Scholes isn't that man Exactly There are sound business reasons why the billionaire president of Trabzonspor, would rather sign Badou Ndiyae for buttons , than spend 18 million on Kevin wimmer and 12 million on Berahino. The club sit at the top of the Turkish super lig and play in a brand new stadium that holds 40000 and you don't do that by being skint We are not talking about Northwich Victoria or Burton Albion here .In 3 of the last 5 years their shirts have been sponsored by the QNB ( Qatar National Bank ) and they were all set to sell a 50 per cent stake in the club to a Qatar conglomerate backed by the Qatar royal family for about 200 million 250 million dollars before coronavirus. Granted they have dropped a bollock by not getting that over the line before coronavirus , but they are hardly skint . Burton Albion are skint , Trabzonspor are not.

Given they are proven at not spending money the point is we shouldn't agree a loan pending a transfer as I actual transfer never happens This is where Scholes has been done. He was unlucky that the player didn't want to go to Sheffield United but incredibly naive to think s Turkish club would come up with the money. Fair play to them, they got what they wanted.

I agree but if Badou doesn't want to move anywhere else which seems like is what is going on here, what can you do? My point though was Turkish clubs are pretty skint and that checks out with the state of the fees they're paying. If that's the only market you have for a player then you're fucked whoever is in charge.

i see that Ndiaye as helped trabsbonspor get to the turkish cup final by beating fenabache in the semis 3 1 he is also helped them to the top of the league. yet it seems they are still not convinced weather to by him or not. i think they are trying to have our pants down to get him on the cheap.or even on a free. i dont know why any club as dealings with turkish clubs very rare they buy anybody. Right from the off when we paid Galatasaray £14m for him and then he went back on loan with us allegedly paying half his wages you could see where this was heading. Sell him to Stoke, get relegated, refuse to play and go back on loan. It was a win win for the Turks for sure as he helped them to win their super league and Turkish cup.
