Butland is wank don’t get why people defend him MAIN reason why we are where we are !!
IF we stay up.. then a new keeper is a must !

More to do with the defence not being alive to 2nd balls Agree and the first was a result of Chester dithering and conceeding a corner.

He was fantastic until he botched that corner. On the other one it looked like Batth missed the header. Was he really he cost us two goals tonight, maybe he isn't match fit which isn't his fault I apportion it to whoever decided to sign him we needed players who were in a position to hit the ground running in particular a LB, this is yet another failure of our transfer process. I don't think fitness was his issue tonight, he tried to avoid whacking it away all night and it got us under needless pressure a few times, I like him and I'm sure with a couple more games under his belt he'll find his feet.

Both of them. With a keeper who stays on his line it means the defenders end up retreating Give me Bruce Grobelaar any day. JUST GO FOR THE BALL Their keeper didn't come off his line all night yet their 2 centre halves headed and blocked everything. We couldn't defend the only 2 balla that came into our box all night. So slow to react to the second ball.Huth and Shawcross would have had them for breakfast. If we don't sort our defensive frailties quickly we are going to be right back in the mire.

We conceded plenty of 6 yd goals last season with Shawcross playing let's not kid ourselves. Neither goal was Butland's fault. No excuse for defenders allowing the ball to bounce on the 6yd area from a set piece

Im not having it. Give me a big strong keeper to control his 6 yard box and no problem. CONTROL YOUR 6 YARD BOX JACK We dont need a shot stopper. We just need a big strong keeper to come for the balls This. Last night they had 3 shots on goal and v Charlton 1. Our defence aren’t doing a bad job at defending. It’s just right now the opposition are literally scoring every time they have an effort on goal. Most of which seem to be from crosses. Something needs to change re cutting the balls out whether it’s the fullbacks, CBs or keeper.

Their two centre halves headed everything that came into the box. That’s the margins we’re talking about, their keeper stayed on his line all night confident that the two in front would do the business. I keep hearing about all these commanding Schmeichel/Grobelaar types in the Championship who come out and command their box, who are they cause I can’t think of many?

Butland wasn’t at fault for the goals last night, but when is he going to actually make some saves? Is it asking too much for our England International goalkeeper to bail us out with a few good stops every now and again? All he seems to do is pick the ball out of the net. Our shots to goals conceded ratio must be the highest in the division.

Chester was having a decent game until he made the mistake for the corner that led to opening goal. I thought he looked a little shaky for most of it tbh, not awful just a little unsure at times. He came very close to losing the ball as the last man at least twice before the mistake for the goal, but just about got out of jail. Hopefully just a bit of rustiness.

Not saying he should attempt to go and claim every ball that comes in, but you can see for yourself the ones he could..... But doesn't!!! I still like Jack, but I don't feel as confident with him these days!!!
