You're asking a rational question to an irrational situation. Personally I hate everyone just some more than others But in no particular order and for some of the most spurious reasons there are, here are a few. Stockport - Jim Fucking Gannon and that lanky twat striker. MK Dons - If you don't know why I pity you Wolves - Abortionate (if such a word exists) accent, Dorito stadium full of self important deluded yam yam wankers and Steve Bull. Arsenal - Arrogant whinging southern shandy drinking pooftahs previously managed by a Garlic Munching cheese eating surrender monkey who was and is an utter cunt. Manchester United - They exist, ditto the Scouse Victims. Crewe - Remember them wankers in the same division as us ? Fuck off you tin pot spackers. Bournmouth - Just piss off back to your level in the old fourth division so you can cheat and time waste to your hearts content defending a one nil lead away to Salford city Leicester - I remember them wankers defrauding all the local business to survive. Plus the playoffs. Gillingham - A bit like Herpes West Ham - Only recently. The old ground and supporters were a 'proper' club. New West Ham, Dildo brothers, slapper Karen Bradey, dodgy finances, Media jizzfest . Please get relegated. Please . Port Vale - V shaped lights, Groundsman Cat, Black and White, Robbie Williams (Bastard), Billy Bell, Hamil Road etc etc I'm off for a lay down now GD

I imagine its the same for most clubs, depending on the geography.
For example, London clubs are going to be hostile towards most other London clubs who are on their doorsteps.
It will be difficult to find a Sheff Utd fan who doesn't loathe WHU, Sheff Weds, Barnsley, Leeds, Derby and Arsenal that's for starters....and I imagine after Sunday you can add Bournemouth to that list now.

The only club I don't really like is MK Dons because they're a franchise not a football club with a long history Yeah they're the only club I could say I've come close to genuinely "hating", but it's a different thing from a regular football rivalry. In fact you could say it's almost the opposite - the anger and disdain for them relates to actually depriving a set of real "rival" fans of their club. I love rivalry, it's the lifeblood of football but we all share more in common than what divides us really. Time is the greatest healer though and even my ill-feeling for MK Dons has waned a bit now. They ceded any claim to the historical honours of Wimbledon and by all accounts they've built themselves up into a decent club with a pretty good fan base (many of whom will be too young to even remember the firestorm around the club's origins). Helps that the original Dons fans have done such an amazing job with AFCW too.

Bournemouth, West Ham & Leeds seem to be up there currently. Arsenal, Man Utd, Leicester, Cardiff,Liverpool and of coarse the Vale have all been hammered on this board. How many clubs do we actually hate? Over to you. I like Leek Town

I do hate Liverpool and not just because of the big club glory-hunting supporters.
Loads of Irish fans
Fallout of Hillsborough and all-seater stadiums
The victims
and lately this Jurgen Klopp love-in
I have a random dislike of Fulham - plastic club
Also the "least hateable club" has to be Norwich. Apart from maybe Ipswich fans, can any other set of fans get angry about a bunch of biege farmers??? Truly difficult to hate Norwich
I love the fact we have plenty of haters out there

Sheff Utd stopped us winning the league, twice, the bastards! I don't hate Forest Green Rovers! Have we ever played them? Saying that, they are veggies? I'm torn on Forest Green, I think the whole sustainability and vegan thing is quite cool and if they weren't a football team I'd really love them for it. For me one of the reasons I don't give a fuck about a lot of the southern teams is because many don't have much importance to their respective cities and areas, or the same history. I like the grim midlands and northern teams where the cities and areas live, breath and die their team. Although I think our badge is a bit on the naff, cheap side I do like that of all the things we have kept it's the 'The Potters' at the very least. Our industry and football team are the centre of the town's identity. Being progressive and environmental are great, but it's not an identity that reflects what makes a team special. Personally I've always liked this badge design someone mocked up... Marketable and modern. That badge is great

Amongst a few teams its Wolves for me. But you have to a be a Stafford Stokie to really understand why Wolves are the true enemy of some Stoke fans. & to see how well their doing now compared to ourselves is so disheartening!

Older viewers will remember the Stockport thing. Then as soon as we went up and left them, that was it. Bloody hell, have we really reached a point that those of us who witnessed the Stockport rivalry are viewed as board elders??! Time flies...

I've never understood 'hatred' in the context of football. Obviously I'm not happy when we lose and equally unhappy that we are where we are now, but that's about it.
Apparently we hate Arsenal because of something that happened nearly fifty years ago. How irrational is that? Then we renewed our hatred because one of their players had the gall to break his leg against our sunshine boy and couldn't accept his apology.
Sorry but that's when I have to distance myself from being a Stoke supporter.

If you really believe that the modern day contempt for Arsenal football club is because one of their players had the gall to break his leg against our sunshine boy then I would question whether you are actually a Stoke fan. Sorry! The modern day dislike of Arsenal stems from our very first fixture against them in the Premier League where Mr Wenger was very complimentary after our team had deservedly beaten them, before, from 170 miles away, changing tack and slating us because we were overly physical, didn't play football and were more akin to a Rugby club. We then had images ahead of their 2nd fixture at the Brit of them training with Rugby pads and such like. The fact that Ramsey broke his leg and Wenger played the "deliberate card" and perpetually and almost slanderously ridiculed our captain and our football club simply added to the contempt in which we hold that godforsaken club. Football is an irrational game with irrational loyalties. It's all part of the attraction. I never want Arsenal to win. Were they playing Wolves or Port Vale, even Burnley, I'd want the opposition to beat them.

Tribalism is part of human nature. For “us against them” to work there has to be a “them”. Other clubs are no different. Look at the Brighton v Palace rivalry, it’s one of the fiercest in English football because in the absence of local rivalries of note both clubs found reasons to hate each other. "absence of local rivalry", Palace are in London with plenty ?

He's an old man now, nobody wants him anymore, he won't ever get another job in football. For all his misguided sayings, he did a whole lot more good for the game in England than he did bad.

Personally I have a lot of time for Sheffield United right now, partly because I went to University in Sheffield and worked at the Sheaf Island the whole time which tended to have a big matchday crowd. That said if we play them or anyone else I'll always want us to win and won't feel the slightest sympathy. Both my kids are at uni there now which means Sheffield is their temporary second home, so for some reason that means I'm happy that Sheffield United are doing well at the moment. In fact my son is looking at houses right by Bramhall Lane for next year, though he's a Stoke fan through and through and it's only because the location is central. My daughter hates football with a passion though so she couldn't give a shit!! 🤣
