Surely Bielsa won't stick around if they fail again. Stick around? Surely he will be sacked for overseeing such a failure? How is it a failure? Leeds' Championship finishes before Bielsa (starting 2010/11): 7th 14th 13th 15th 15th 13th 7th 13th. Last season: 3rd. Saying that, I can't see him being there if they don't get promoted this season.

That was well known before he went to Leeds though - two consecutive finishes in the playoffs would've been seen as a success by many before he joined. And they may still get automatic promotion.

I hope Leeds go up and West Ham and Villa avoid the drop.

I hope Leeds go up and West Ham and Villa avoid the drop. The exact opposite of my own opinion. And WBA have just reopened the gap over LUFC. Rowett wasn't very happy, but his team was outplayed.

Any less would surely be counted a "failure" by his bosses, even if they were at least as much to blame for not giving him the resources he needed.
I mean, Bielsa's reputation as a coach is right up there with the very best. Could you expect eg Mourinho or Pochettino to take the Leeds job and NOT expect to get promoted?

If he was Mourinho or Pochettino level, he wouldn't be at Leeds in the Championship. Can you imagine either of them dropping to the Championship? Leeds might still go up this season anyway.
