Do people rate him? Can’t say I’ve seen him play?

If it’s a loan till the end of the season it would be pretty much the perfect signing.....

I'd be very pleased. An actual left back with Prem and international experience, not fit for the knackers' yard just yet, knows a few of our lads already and can step right in with a minimum of fuss. Sorted.

Has been a victim of the Villa boo boys lately so probably ready for a fresh start. Think he'd be ok as a Champo left back for us but think he's struggled to adjust to life in the Prem.

Oh god he is absolutely wank, my mate's a Villa fan he's hated him for years now. Thought we were in for young lads, he's 30 and truly, truly wank.

I'd be ok with a loan, let's face it we're working from a very low base. He's 31 in 2 weeks so I'd be concerned if he was a permanent signing. He's had a fairly solid career.

Villa got Mings because of how shit he was in the Championship, nightmare signing this'd be.

Seems a no-brainer if it's a loan.
31 next month, so bit of pause for thought if he's seen as the long-term answer

Left back? Tick. Decent club experience in top two leagues? Tick. Better and younger than Ward? Tick. Not Tymon? Tick.
Works for me as a loan until the summer.

Has been a few years since he played in the Prem with Swansea, he hasnt made the adjustment up there with Villa this time around & has lost the pace he used to have. Taylor & Elmohamady have been getting alot of grief off the Villa fans this season when they've featured. Doesnt surprise me he's after somewhere else to see out the season.

Maybe with Hogan going back we’ve negotiated a loan for Taylor instead🤔

A Villa fan doesn’t rate him and has hated him for years - even before Villa signed him (you know, as he only signed for them in Jan 2017).

He does now, he played left back for them in the Championship though, that's how it'd work. I'm not saying exclusively, but he, a centre half took Taylor's position plenty.

Taylor played left back in 12 of those games......

In the early stages he did but not for the last 6 months of the season he didn’t Wasn't that only due to injury to a centre half though? Their first XI was Mings - Tuanzabe - Chester - Elmo/Hutton right? Regardless, I reckon Taylor's gash but if it's a loan till the end of the season it's harmless enough.

It certainly makes sense, a short term (1.5 year contract) low financial deal and does a job for the immediate time being to find a young replacement. I know that we make a pigs ear of every transfer window but tbf January is not an easy month to business. Get it done.
