on boxing day with 2 minutes to go at home against Sheffield Weds we're now 7 points clear. And although we're miles away from being safe there's so many more of us who now have a lot more belief that we will survive this season. Gouranga.

Difference also is now we look like a team, a team that is growing in confidence. No doubt there will still be bumps in the road but we must all believe we can have a strong 2nd half of the season

If MON had been here from the start of the season this form would equate to 71 points. Edit now 76 points with the win over Swansea. We would have been lucky to have had 17 under Jones. Gouranga.

In true stoke style, let's not get carried away. Fuckin loved beating the baggies tonight, long time overdue since poolis started the curse. One day at a time, campbellmwill be a big miss, hope it's not too serious

20 points from 13 games is a fantastic return considering how bad we were when he took over

4 points in 2 games against 2 top 7 teams Jut goes to show the difference between top and bottom is not that great. On any day any team can beat those above them, stoke have just managed to shoot themselves in the foot too many times to allow poor teams to beat them.

Us anyone missing Benji's thoughtful analysis --no I guess not , funny how he's so quiet at any glimmer of success--how about this one Benji from a few weeks back Beg to differ he’s taking us backwards which seemed unthinkable , he’s ignoring the best players , i personally find not a single cell of optimism in his press conferences , selection , tactics or game management right now I’d say hell b3 lucky to get more than 36 points Read more: oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/292563/negative?page=4#ixzz6Bc7tsIFz

20 points from 13 games is a fantastic return considering how bad we were when he took over Form that if we had from the start of the season would have us on 43pts, just outside the playoffs, to emphasise your point about how good a return that is all things considered.

No doubt there will still be bumps in the road but we must all believe we can have a strong 2nd half of the season Totally agree - there was something in Allen's interview at the end that was different too. Previously the tone always seemed to be we were too good to be where we are and it would all turn around with a bit of chest bumping thrown in. Last night it seemed more measured in that there was an acceptance we are where are through being shit and that we seem to have turned a corner with the rest of the season focussing on climbing the table. Difficult to put in words but the manager seems to have changed the mindset in the changing room to appreciating they're in a Championship dogfight rather than a Premier League side waiting for their luck to turn.

But it seems like that ship has now sailed and perhaps MON can fill his shoes and take us back to the Premier league, he's at least put some fight back into the team and given us some hope for things to come. Gouranga.

Gouranga. When is credit due? He was more than happy to criticise and spam this board with shite before and after MON was appointed but seems a bit more reticent now things are slowly turning round. You can bet your bollocks if Tony had performed this turnaround he'd shouting it from the rooftops.

Spot on. We don't look like of a bunch of confused prima donnas anymore - we look like a team that takes the opposition seriously and knows every point has to be earned through hard graft, not gifted to us because we're ex-Prem. I much prefer us as the Millwall of the North Midlands rather than the Arsenal of the North Midlands.
