Ngl my heart was in my mouth a little at times when he was juggling the ball 😂 but Jack was excellent today! And deserved the little bits of luck he got. Onwards and upwards jack!

Best all-round performance by Jack in ages. So pleased to see him leaving his goal line to attack the ball. He didn’t put a foot wrong all night. Maybe rode his luck at times with his ball juggling, but he deserved it! Fortune favours the brave goalkeeper

Let's hope he keeps it up. The criticism he's had this season has been thoroughly deserved and completely justified. He's not just been shit compared to how good he used to be, he's been shit compared to the absolute bare minimum standard you'd expect from any keeper at this level with so many basic, costly mistakes.
That however was a really good, commanding performance. The type of which he hasn't produced on a regular basis for a good 3 or 4 years now. Hopefully he's now getting on top of whatever mental demons have been plaguing him and maybe the fresh approach from the new goalkeeping coach could be helping him? Whatever happens I hope the improvement continues both for our sake and for the sake of his career so he can return to the top level where his natural ability suggests he should belong.

I think he got a rollocking for the two goals against Sheff Weds, when he was routed to the goal-line for both crosses that lead to goals.
Much better judgement from Jack to come and claim the ball. When your keeper starts doing that it gives the whole team confidence.
We have conceeded way too many goals from corners into the 6-yard box this season. Hopefully we put a stop to that now

Watch it again I can't remember much about what Prudhoe's 'thing' was. Was he off his line like a frog up a pipe? I honestly can't remember. I do remember seeing him at Birmingham New Street once and he looked sodding huge.

yes well done jack, ive been one of his harshest critics this season, at last he commanded his box all game, even though I can’t remember him having any shots to save, he looked determined to keep a clean sheet, upwards and onwards, well done also to our defence. Jack has definitely improved in the last few games. Commanded his area, made some cracking reaction saves, and kicked better. He had 2 shots to save last night according to the stats., but I too have difficulty remembering any. That was another feature of our play last night, although we were up against the highest scorers in the Championship, we kept shots on target down to 2 out of 18 shots by WBA. That is excellent defending. The last time we did it was away to Norwich last season. MON has now turned us into one of the hardest teams to beat in the Championship. Not only that we had Vokes sitting on the bench, who along with Cameron, has a goals per game stat. this season better than any one for Stoke in a very long time.

Sorry I'm not about to celebrate our GK having a decent performance, he should be doing it weekly, he didnt have a shot to save last night, he collected a couple of crosses, I'd expect that from any gk tbh, it's their job.
Butland has cost us time and time again this season, right from the very first game

The level of fuckwittery amongst our support is breathtaking. Jack butland has put in a half decent display in which he didnt face any shots on target to save. Give him a knighthood. He'd be off like a shot if he was wanted by a prem club

People forget that football is also a game of confidence and that game will have done him, and the defence, a world of good.
Hopefully it gives him a platform to return to the form of the goalkeeper that we know he can be.

Butland has cost us time and time again this season, right from the very first game Why criticise him for mistakes earlier in the season on a thread about how well he played and how he's getting back to where he should be? Are you the sort of bloke who can't forgive and move on? In my opinion it is a very negative attitude to criticise someone for mistakes made weeks ago. Criticise immediately after a match and then let it go please.

If Jack had tipped a worldy round the post he will just say 'he saved it - thats what keepers are for... blah... blah..'. The Joe haters are the same, they will point out the two errors he made rather than the dozen good contributions...
