The referee was ten yards away and looking right at it. Bottle job. I think he was unsighted actually by two players. Glad we won otherwise you’d be fuming He had an assistant watching it too!

I've no doubt if it had been the other way around he'd have sent a stoke player off. Unsighted or not, a lot of people shouting for a red is enough for a stoke player to be sent off.

So Luton (a relegation rival) get the advantage of a team missing one of their best players. When he could've easily gained points for his team at a time he shouldn't have been on the pitch, bloody good job we won.

To be fair he would still have been suspended for Luton if he’d been sent off on Monday.

That ref the other day was absolutely wank. Seriously utter shite No he wasn’t. Unless you want him to give EVERY decision in Stoke’s favour, in which case he ‘was absolutely wank. Not every decision. Just maybe a blatant red card which he was 100% looking at. Along with a corner to West Brom which clearly was headed straight wide, along with 8 more fouls given against us than them- of which some were absolute none sense.

He got cracked and fell over, not sure what more there is to say. The powers that be have taken a look and decided that had the ref seen it, it would have been a red. Again, not a lot more to add. Retrospective bans happen whether the game is on TV or not to my knowledge but I cant comment on the consistency, however I am sure what all players would be glad to see is all misdemeanours receiving the same punishment, hence the retrospective action in a league where VAR is not in use. Don Goodman & Higgy both called it a red at the time, WBA are not contesting it. Move on. I know retrospective bans are supposed to happen all the time but in my opinion the only ones given are those which are highlighted on TV. I'm not aware of any player getting a retrospective ban when not on TV. unless in the Premiership. I reckon that is not what happens. But if you DO think that it does happen that way, you could ask Malcolm Clarke who posts on here - he has sat on the panels which decide if such incidents warrant a ban. I'm sure he'll be able to tell you if there is any truth in your suggestion that only offences highlighted in TV result in bans. Send him a PM and ask his opinion.

Also let’s be honest they hardly make a call and would barely dare to call out a red unless it was something more blatant and with less chance of getting it wrong.
