Bego is having a medical at A/C Milan in preparation for a loan move to the end of the season. It has just been a steady progression downwards as far as places to live are concerned, since he left Stoke hasn't it? Does he still have his house in Seabridge to use as a holiday cottage if Milan starts to pale? I bet he still misses Hanley for the shops.

He’s had a terrible career since he left us but as he’s the best keeper I’ve ever seen at Stoke I can only wish him the best. Hopefully he gets a few cup games at least.

It’s easy to look better than you are when you are a good player in a team lower down the league. It gets you a big move but it doesn’t mean you are going to look as good in top teams squads.

Never understood the animosity some have had since. Yes, the argument was there to be made why did he move to Chelsea other than to sit on the bench. I suspect however, given that as an elite player and a goalkeeper who was still improving at the time he would have genuinely thought he could have been a long term option for Chelsea.
Courtois emerged, and so he wasn't really just trying to take over from Cech but I don't find it at all unreasonable for a player to believe in their own ability.
No doubt you could go around our squad now and ask them if they think they're good enough to play in the premier league and they'll all say yes.

Don't think many begrudged him his move mate people just pointing out how low his stock has fallen since he left.

With bournemouth in a relegation scrap and playing a kid in goals, you'd think the begovic we know would be ideal for them in that scenario.
Burns his bridges in style does asmir.

Half-decent keepers who are content to play third fiddle and realistically never play regular first team footy again are always going to get these sort of moves. If your desire for money outweighs your desire to play then fair enough.

Playing with a straight bat. Well played, sir. Well played.

Funny story actually, me and my partner bumped into Asmir in Newcastle town centre with his family and we had a little chat. It wasn't long before he moved. We explained I was from Stoke and she was from Milan and we moved out there and she joked he should sign for AC Milan and he actually loved the suggestion! Now I was a big Bego fan back then and I obviously explained that it wouldn't be happening. I do wonder if our chat had anything to do with this!

Bego was easily good enough to play for a top Prem team when he was in peak form. The problem was that his form had already started to dip when he signed for Chelsea and he never really got the regular games to recover. In retrospect it was the worst possible time for him to sign for a side like that, but he went thinking he could make the #1 spot his, no doubt.

He was a top keeper for us (second only to Sorrensen imo)!!! You can understand his reasons for leaving to go to Chelsea at the time.... But since he went, his carear does seem to have taken downward spiral!!! Oh how I bet he wish he was with us now!!!

He's going there to sit on the bench I'd happily sit on a bench in Milan, although it is a wonderful city with lots to do. I'm going there in a couple of weeks (the end of the world pending). I'll see if I can spot him out and about.
