Only real quality on show and put in a shift too Rediculous original post There was no quality by anyone today the only exception was Joe Allen. Other than that there was 19 outfield players that were shite. I'm not rating Powell on todays performance I don't think he's done anything anywhere near what he can do. Which is nit acceptable. If you were told you could be one yell of a player but you are not showing what you can do, I would work my bollocks off to prove them wrong. I'm only frustrated because he has the ability but doesn't utilise it and is happy to say I will prove people wrong but hasn't which could do of he applied his skillset affectively and not become bored when it doesn't pay off Admit it, you are Benji in disguise! Same ridiculous comments, same awful typing / spelling / grammar and same change in argument when you are shown to be wrong

I've been very critical of Powell for not being up for it physically - but I thought he handled the rough stuff quite well yesterday and his dropping off to make himself available was really encouraging - looks like he wants to be involved. As other have said second best player after Allen. If he keeps this up I'll be more that happy to admit I was wrong - either that or O'Neill has done some magic behind the scenes.

This has to be the worse assessment of a player`s performance i`ve ever seen. He made several superb challenges and interceptions in the first half and played really well, worked really hard too. Amazing isn't it. You could argue he played too deep perhaps however it seemed to virtually everyone that he a good game He dropped deeper when their player was sent off so he could try and dictate the play.... He looked classy yesterday to me, always looking for that killer pass, head up etc..... basically the polar opposite of Ince.

He will be lot better with a decent forward line in front of him. Can't really do much with no movement in front of him

He's a class player who is improving game by game. He's learning about the forward line infront of him at the moment. Give him time

Plays very direct and aggressive balls, doesn't pussy out at all. We moan about players passing sideways and backwards but him, Clucas and Campbell I feel are very aggressive and positive in their efforts.

Joe Allen was our best player yet again today, little wonder he's the only one with a market value, it's vital we keep hold of him until this relegation scrap is over. The only players we've managed to shift are Badou and Etebo and they've gone to decent European clubs. No coincidence that the best two midfield players at the club have found good clubs. We're still left with the problem that is Joe Allen though!!

He more than capable to be the player he clearly is and his superior footballing brain should be able to react to the team around him. It then becomes easy for everyone to blame others but he's not adjusting to the team and only thinking of himself to shy away from poor decision making.
I'm not saying get rid of him but if anyone in work is not delivering what they are more than able to do then its frustrating.

Id say for a number 10 he works his bollocks off, have a look at Bradley Dack’s work rate and them come back to me. number 10's are not judged on workrate I'm sure they are meant to be creative threats Didst get out of the bed of the wrong side today youth?

Nobody agrees with you but you may just be the next Klopp.

Don't worry, Badou and Etebo will both be back in 6 months time once again wearing out the carpets at Clayton Woods once their new owners have actually seen them play, and we will be wondering what in goodness name to do with them!

Of all the players 'not delivering', you're singling Nick Powell out just after his two best games for the club? Not following you.

The mind boggles I’m sure some people form their opinions walking to the stadium and won’t waver from it no matter what This is it exactly. Everyone is allowed an opinion and everyone is allowed to like / dislike players but they end up looking foolish when their blind hatred results in threads like this. Powell was excellent and gets slagged. People rightly point out that Joe Allen was a clear MOM (again!) yet the agenda-mongers refuse to see or accept it. Sad really.

Give the bloke time, he's played 3 games under MON and is starting to have a decent run of games. He can only improve with game time!
