Common on a lot of forums, I feel like discussion is so split up and at the end of most games there'll be a positive or negative thread created and it'll turn into a bit of an echo-chamber with people reluctant to comment if it goes against the grain. Having a neutral territory for discussion makes some sense? I know some goes on in the match thread after the game's over but it drops in traffic like a stone. Maybe it's a shite idea but maybe it's worth giving a go? mermaidsal

To be honest I already feel like there are too few threads on here. The moderators tends to merge any tangentially related threads - for example there was one yesterday about Ibrahimovic’s statue being vandalised that was merged into one from eighteen months ago about Ibrahimovic scoring a screamer on his debut for LA Galaxy - which can make it difficult to extract new information without clicking through numerous pages.
A single post match thread for all discussion after the match would be really hard to engage with without spending hours reading every single post in it.

Isn't it much easier having it in one discussion for after the match rather than all over the place.

Match thread that then takes over and gets locked when game is over and then post match thread opens and can be debated until everyone is bored. BM

BM Totally agree with this, we'd see more conversation before and after games like this. I don't tend to post in that thread unless it's during the match.

I don't like it. It shuts down discussion.
