Are they able to pay £3-4M? Very much doubt it! I thought we only gave players away or loaned them so that doesn’t matter

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/stoke-city-transfer-corry-evans-5385479"(Evans) is out of contract and hasn't been offered a new one. I am sure he will have plenty of options. "Corry is an immense young man, an international footballer. He has plenty going for him. Let's see, but I am sure there will be a lot of takers for him. "I have no doubt that not only will he find a new club, but it will be at a good level.” "I think the best way with Corry is to love him. A club where he will feel really important. "I pigeon-hole Corry as a destructive, simplistic footballer rather than being creative. He is brilliant at reading people's eyes, anticipating and stepping in front and nicking the ball.”

When did the Brittania Stadium become the venue for Love Island?

Woods is shite but Evans is about 30, not particularly tall and I'm not aware he can control a football. It's only important that MON is aware of his abilities. Being 30 is not a death sentence neither is height an overriding requirement - but otherwise, you're near the mark on Woods

Not sure he’s better than what we have but surely being injury prone must put the signing in doubt

Cornelius seems to be 30 in July and a career riddled with groin problems. Not sure about this one. I'd never heard of him but by all accounts he is a 'job in hand' kind of player, I guess if there is any way we could get him fit and keep him fit it could just work at some level. Or Hand job

Corry has always been one of the better players at NI in my opinion and always performed well under MON. Great in the DM role and very consistent and composed.
If the wages were reasonable and within budget then not bad for a free transfer given stokes current ffp situation.
I must say though I've not watched alot of him in the championship but on the international scene he's been great. I'd have him in ahead of Jordan Thompson. However that's based on historic performances, I've not seen alot of him the past year.

Like an aging squad, the kind MON said he is trying to avoid.... If the rumours are right and we will get rid of both Clucas and Allen we will need more depth in midfield. Evans seems to be a solid and experienced player at this level, and on more sensible wages than the two already mentioned as well. This is a player MON knows well so if he thinks Evans is worth a deal he probably is. I hope we only give him a two-year deal though because of his age and last injury.
