Just ignore him and get behind the team. Once we’re 2-0 up with a few minutes left knock yourself out......

He deserves no kind of welcome either way, he's a nothing. The fans had every right to be 'a moaning bunch' with the contemptuously bad shite he was serving up with the most expensive squad in the league. It a measure of how bad Jones was that people forget how bad Rowett was. Just like how bad Rowett was, they forgot how bad Lambert was and how bad Lambert was they forgot how bad Hughes had become. It's some sort of weird 'only at Stoke' trick of the light. That's just nonsense in your own mind. Just look at how many threads end up with 'Hughes started the rot' and how many that pinpoint Rowett's signings as why we're still struggling, and then elaborate more on that theme on pages unending.

Just ignore him and get behind the team. Once we’re 2-0 up with a few minutes left knock yourself out...... There was general apathy towards him among the away support in London a few months ago. Then again, we did have other things on our mind at the time, like his clueless replacement and the trip from hell home to look forward to...

The biggest wanker ever to manage our football club. Quite an achievement. Cotterill ?

The architect of our demise. £50million wasted on shite. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I don’t agree.... you can make a committee out of our architects of demise.... not down to one. I fear an hostile reception will only lead to one result. I hope the energy of our fans ( what they have left!) focusses on supporting our own team. They badly need it and they are just about starting to deserve some of it.

He did a much better job than Jones and although his signings have proven to be failures there was at least a logic to them as all had performed well at this level previously.

He did a much better job than Jones and although his signings have proven to be failures there was at least a logic to them as all had performed well at this level previously. There wasn't a logic to them. His top striker target didn't fit the way he wanted to play. Neither, really, did McClean, another top target. He stockpiled box to box midfielders and signed an extra right back while signing pretty much nobody creative and no left back. You'll find more logic in your average episode of Hollyoaks. And yeah, whoopee, he was better than Jones but he also had FIFTY MILLION POUNDS.

Rowett tried his best but with some poor signings who thought they were better than they were. All managers and visiting teams should be treated with courtesy, after all we supporters are not savages unlike the inmates of fail park asylum. The real problems we have now can be traced back to the chancer Pulis.

Don't know if this has already been linked, apologies if it has, apologies also cos it's the Sentinel website. www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-pejic-millwall-rowett-oneill-3723972Bit weird imo, the piece expresses incredulity as to why GR was booted and yet doesn't reference the photo it contains which is from the Bolton game, after which he turned on the fans. It's like the photo was put there without consulting the author and the author is trying to ignore one of the main reasons he was sacked, odd.

I didn't want him here in the first place. He had nothing on his CV to warrant gambling 50m on him. He's a total arsehole too and my least favourite Stoke manager since I've been a supporter (closely followed by Jones, Kamara and Quitteral) I'll be giving the fucker dogs abuse. Kamara was obviously a disaster but I can't help but like him. He's welcome back anytime just not as a manager He was a fantastic player a proper favourite of mine but as manager he was a dick. It's well documented that he treated people around the club like shit when manager here.

He was the wrong man in the wrong job at the wrong time, which doesn't mean any disrespect to the job or the man.....Millwall seem to suit him better. Tightly run, moderate ambitions, they're all getting nosebleeds in their current position. No one has to like him and he doesn't have to care.

Our two best players are currently Rowetts signings. I personally think persevering with him would have seen him sort this shambles out. Then again I’m bloody stupid so who knows

I know we’re improving, but I’ve got no doubt this lot are still more than capable of tossing away a 2-0 leads in a couple of blinks of the eye.

We have better attacking options than Bojan... he was a good player 3 yrs ago for this club, but we're now trying to move this club forward.
Look at us... Give him hell

I would like to point out how much Rowett enjoyed the home game against Derby last season. He seemed to positively relish the venom from the away support and we looked more motivated that day than we did in the rest of the season.

Rowett isn't the architect of our demise. It's such statements that keeps Scholes in a job.
Made some poor signings aye, but don't forget some of the *standouts* this season (if we can even say that) were his signings. And considering how shite we were under his replacement, he probably wasn't doing as bad of a job as we thought.
Reception should be nothing really. No booing, no clapping (obviously). He acknowledged his shortcomings and never criticised the supporters in the media after the sack. The job was too big for him and it's clear he's the sort of manager that works wonders with lesser sides, not a team aiming for automatic promotion.

"Gary rowett, your football is shit!!" .... Oh shit, millwall are 7th. Could go in the top 6 if they beat us saturday. Shocking manager To be fair, he hasn't as yet signed any players, so it must be his management to have improved them so far
