He’s acknowledged he was wrong what he said and has spoken in glowing terms of the club and it’s supporters since he left
Me....I think he’d of done an excellent job if he’d stayed but his position became untenable once he’d taken on the support
No applause but no abuse either

No where near as w*nk as Nathan Jones yet he seems to get off very lightly despite fcuking us up completely. His issue was taking on the supporters once he did that he was finished, still 100 times better than nutty Nath.

They are in good form and if we give him abuse it will only wind up his players. No applause. No abuse.

Forget Gawwy and just support the team, we need three points. Although once the fifth goes in, a chorus of Gary Rowett your football is shit maybe appropriate.

I struggle to remember our own players names most days, so by 3pm Saturday I am unlikely to know who we are playing, let alone who is managing them In all honesty I thought, at the time, he was a good appointment. History has shown us that 'the process' was flawed and the club was a shambles...Fergie would have struggled to make an impression. In other circumstances, at a different time, maybe Rowett would have done a good job here

I couldn't take to Rowett from day one... And if I'm honest, I didn't want him here in the first place, so I was pretty glad when he went!!!
However, he's never shown any malice towards the club and our support, quite the opposite in fact..... Therefore, I hope no one's so stupid as to give him any abuse, or start singing "your football is shit"!!!
He's gone now, let bygones be bygones!!!

I dont think we should have sacked him. With hindsight I think there’s close to 0 chance we’d be in a relegation dogfight if Rowett was still here. But that’s less of a compliment to GR and more a indictment of his successor.

Our demise started long before Rowett. The rot started when Hughes was allowed to spend stupid amounts on very poor players, he should have been sacked at least 18 months before he was. Think Hughes should really have left/been sacked at the end of the season before relegation - we were lucky to not to be dragged into it as there were 3 teams who were absolutely dreadful (think we picked up 16 points against Sunderland, Boro and Hull), but the signs were there already, poor buys, a lack of heart, getting rid of 2 massive characters and our best player, then replacing them with gutless wank condemned us. If we had got rid then, we might have just about been ok, saying that, given our track record, we would have probably bought someone in who was hopeless (think Pardew or Coleman)

He’s acknowledged he was wrong what he said and has spoken in glowing terms of the club and it’s supporters since he left He didn't in any questioning I saw/heard. Is it since he became Millwall boss? He did a long interview with someone that was posted on here, was about 2 hours long or there about. Spoke about his management career, went into detail about ups and downs. Spoke about stoke and pretty much apologised for how it ended up. Said he wanted to be honest with the fans as he felt we deserved it after the crap we had received previously.

I was dead set against him from day 1. Needless to say I was ecstatic when he got the sack (that ecstacy soon died though).
But since his departure I've come to appreciate him much more. It took him a couple of interviews where you sort of sensed he was trying to make amends but he didn't really say it. And then he came out forthright and said that he wanted to apologise to the Stoke fans for what happened and his part in it.
All is now forgiven, and you don't get to hear many managers do what he did. So some applause for the man, and I hope he continues to be successful in his career.
His transfer dealings is another thing, but he did what he thought was best for the club, thinking that he was going to get a few years to mold a new team. He was wrong but that's not something I would hold against him on a personal level.

But that’s less of a compliment to GR and more a indictment of his successor. At least he had some idea of how to set up a team to grind out results, it wasn't pretty at times however it was better than the idiot who followed him produced, Jones should have gone last summer it was pretty obvious he was a charlatan floundering around in a sea of shit of his own making.

As said above we would not be in our present predicament if he was still manager. He should have kept his mouth shut & got on with the job.
