Watching the news this morning the main headline is the sentence due to be given on this young lass in cypress
Who may be guilty and maybe not
Then follows Iran Australia etc
As a foot note they deem to mention the immigrant student who has just been convicted of raping at least 160 men
Why is such a story not deemed inportant enough to lead the headlines
If 160 women were raped by a single man it would be featured all day long
Double standards at there highest
in the BBC eyes
A man is a second class citizen

I think the case of the young lady should of been read abit more before the media on all sides whipped them selves into a frenzy, given the world we live in it’s not impossible that she did lie thru out the case. The media has in parted painted a picture of a sweet and innocent girl on a first holiday. I think the Cypriots shit there pants at the thought of our media flagship and gutter press making enough of a frenzy that tourism did drop .... she ll be on love island next or big brother...
Regards the treatment of the Iran issue, how little is reported of Iran backed militia attacking a us embassy over Xmas, an American contracted killed just before Xmas, over 600 deaths at the hands of Iranians during the last gulf conflict. My brother did two tours of iraq with the staffords , his words ‘mortared daily by Iranians’

It was the first story on last night's news at 10. They spend a third of the programme talking about it and the drug he used on his victims. You read the title of this thread and it could be literally anyone from any point on the cultural/political spectrum complaining about bias against them. Beeb are the liberal elite, they're right-wing neoliberals, they're far left, they're Brexit fanatics, they're anti-Brexit, they're transphobes, they're gender ideologues, they're sexist and racist, they're PC gone mad.
All told that's probably not a bad sign for an impartial democratic state broadcaster.
