Hinting on Insta he might be back to playing for Bristol soon, gotta say if it doesn't work with Tyrese he seems the most similar in style.

Speaking to a BCFC fan, they want rid of Lee Johnson - so when he inevitably gets sacked, then maybe Benik will be back at Stoke

why would they sack Lee Johnson? they keep selling off all their best players and they still fight for a playoff spot every year

I just hope he does well who ever he plays for! If anyone deserves a bit of luck it is benik.

If next season kicks off behind closed doors (it will) and we don't get relegated, I don't see why he wouldn't give it a go without the crowd being there? I actually think after all that's gone on with him, he'd be one who everyone massively got behind if he did play for us again, however, it wasn't just the fans who were to blame. He was often dreadful.

He wasnt dreadful under rowett he had 8 in 27 matches, playing rowetts dire football, so in an attacking style of play he should be good for 15 goals a season

We are paying him Β£35k per week according to that article! Can see what MoN means now when he said we have invested big in him! We really havenβt received much bang for our buck in recent years have we! Afobe hasnβt been the worst for return on investment either! Scholes can complain all he likes about how unfair FFP rules are but he knew the rules and still has sanctioned deals that have tied up all of our allowances on players that are contributing nothing and have contributed very little. Shambolic! BM

Hes done well at Bristol.
Hes a perfect back-up for Tyrese and we should keep him. I think he will score goals under MON, we are a lot more attacking.
I think MON will look for a new targetman to replace Vokes.

Was never a fan of his when at his previous clubs but is ok at this level. if we could offload him will be a big plus

i didn't mind him.
When he joined he was scoring in about 1 in 2, and it only stopped when Rowett went mental, and then we got Jones in.

He's the same as all of our other strikers in that he can't play up top on his own. Play him alongside Vokes or Campbell and we'll get the best out of him.

Afobe would probably be a different animal altogether playing with Campbell to the right of him, as he's not a lone striker. Just like Vokes looks completely different with Campbell to the right of him.

There were old people in the stand opposite me overtaking him as they were going for a piss he was that casual. Like you say, could finish a 1 v 1

I'll admit, I was a bit of an Afobe hater last season. Course I've had a season now to reflect and with the way Tyrese plays on the right, I can picture Afobe as the striker. Throwing Verlinden into the mix gives me a bit of a stiffy.

He was bloody good at this level for Wolves. I'd fully support him being given a second chance under MON.
No point punting the ball to his head, needs to be attacking space behind the defender.

He played quite a few games up front with Vokes when Mad Nath was in charge. Sadly he either never read any of Vokes's flick ons or he was not interested.
I do not see many other teams wanting him big time and paying for him even Millwall would try a loan move.
I just hope he can get his mind right and be able to concentrate on football and enjoy it plus score on a regular basis, i suspect if he is willing M O'N will get the best out of him.

With Diouf going that would leave us Campbell, Vokes, Gregory?
If Gregory goes would Afobe, Campbell and Vokes be sufficient?

With Diouf going that would leave us Campbell, Vokes, Gregory? If Gregory goes would Afobe, Campbell and Vokes be sufficient? No but given the frequency of reports linking us with 4 different strikers in Scotland seems probable the manager wants to bring at least one in.

8 goals in 46 appearances for us not great although I'd give him another shot under MON.

We used to be an excellent dog's home for waywards and strays.
