This should have been his big break. Still I reckon his name is still in the frame. Jesus. Give it a rest.

Shall we keep rotating the keepers and singing the praises of the one not chosen? It’s not like that though.....Feds stepped up to the plate when Butts was dropped and played very well instilling much needed confidence in the back 4. Very poor man management by Delap to reinstate Butland when Feds was playing so confidently. Feds should be first choice no doubt at all. I agree LL. I was also about 15 feet behind the goal yesterday when Brentford scored. It was the usual catalogue of disasters that led to the goal. A foul that shouldn’t have been conceded, a poorly defended free kick and a cross come shot that Davies should definitely have stopped. If I had my gloves on I’d’ve saved it. We have conceded so many goals from individual errors this season it’s fucking unbelievable.

Steve Davies would have done a better job with the cross. Shame for him- this was his big break. I think this is a case of the kettle calling the POT BLACK

You have to wonder where Edwards was for Campbell to be making challenges in the right back position in the first place, then to concede a foul in a dangerous place 1 minute before half time. No one to be on either post when the free kick was taken, and Davies to make a feeble effort to save something that just about everyone in the crowd could’ve stopped. It’s no wonder we are where we are in the league. There’s no intelligence in the team. Did you enjoy the day out though Colin ? We won’t be going to Griffin Park again.

Enjoyed it Bill, was a bit worse for wear. Think somebody might have corrupted my pints as i can't remember how i got from London to home. I thought we played ok at times. I’m fully behind Martin, i think we are battling better, fitter and want to win more. Just hope he sorts this defence out.

We won’t be going to Griffin Park again. No one will be going to Griffin Park again, as Brentford will be moving to the Community Stadium down the road from next season.

In Davies's defence, and I did think his kicking was awful whn he was picking out Campbell not Vokes regularly - the bizarre split wall we adopt at free kicks wide around the box means the goalkeeper has to position himself closer to the near post than with a conventional wall. Butland did it at Fulham, I assume the theory is it gives a better view and means the wall theoretically covers more space but it was a factor in the goal yesterday.

Maybe Coates should put his hand in his POCKET and buy a new goalie ? Coat on, taxi on the way ......

Shall we keep rotating the keepers and singing the praises of the one not chosen? Again, what did Federici do wrong? I was impressed with him when he played. His distribution and communication were good and I don't remember him making any major mistakes or being responsible for any goals. Not in a major way anyway, certainly nothing stand out like the mistake Davies made today or the countless big mistakes Butland has made. So no, I'm not just calling for constant replacements based on nothing. It's based on what I've actually seen Federici produce this season where I thought he looked solid and composed. And in the end of the day, solid and composed is a big improvement on what we've had in goal for most of this season. “Solid and composed” saw us sitting in the relegation zone of the Championship, unfortunately. Federici is a solid goalkeeper but I know of no other clubs that relied on a single keeper being in form. I’d guess that the rotation is due in part to that.

Putting players on one or both post puts all the attacking players onside, which is really bad idea. That depends upon the angle of the cross of course.Letting the ball come to the far post and reaching for it with the wrong hand is a pretty shitty idea too. Good ideas is not what this lot are about. They make poor decisions all of the time, not just when they are defending. If we’d had a defender on the back post yesterday they would not have scored. Saying that Davies should have had it anyway.

Totally agree .Feds has been very poorly treated by the club .This seasons stats for both players are that butland has saved 51 % of the shots against him and federici 69 % .

Dunno if there's anything in this, but hard to see any acts of charity to relegation rivals.

Dunno if there's anything in this, but hard to see any acts of charity to relegation rivals. Let them have him. Charge them a hefty loan fee and do a side deal with Davies. Tell him he can have half the fee if he ensures they're one of the three going at the end of the season. Job done.
