Credit where credits due 10 It’s a ten from Ben! 😆 10 from me too - the players are starting to play for the team, and we look far more balanced with Campbell in for Ince.

9. I thought the team looked poor at 2 o clock. I was desperately wrong. Is hand was forced but a mark off for not picking Collins who is patently better than Lindsay and Batth. 9 from me as well and as you say a point off for not playing Collins but at last a brave line up to cause the other team problems rather than shoring up our defence which is pointless. For once we had some guile and pace. Hopefully verlinden will come back and we will sort out the defence. Lindsey and Batth scare me to death every time they’re under pressure

9.
Lindsay and Batth are getting all the stick for the defensive frailty but for me Butland is still the Jonah and O'Neil needs to make that big call and drop him. The goalkeeper is a big part of a solid defence and it just looks to me like the central defenders - whoever they are on the day - don't have confidence in Butland and we looked far more solid when Federici was playing.
We looked a different class to Huddersfield but as another poster pointed out we'll still struggle if we don't sort out the defence - 2-4, 3-2 and 2-5 look like good results but they mask an on-going problem.
But on the other hand...Yeeeessssssss!!!!!

10 from me.
I get the comments made by some on this thread about our leaky defence - especially at set pieces. But, with Shawcross out. I am not sure if any other back four combination would have done any better - lets be honest, all the other back four combinations we have used this season have had their fair share of completely inept defending.
The changes he made to the side today ALL worked well - and not many managers can say that when they have made so many changes.
The biggest plus for me is that we now look like a team which does not look as if it is ready to throw in the towel every time we go behind. For the past 3 seasons my heart sank every time we went behind in games. Today as the two Huddersfield goals went in, I looked at my watch and thought we had time to turn things round. That is a massive massive plus which is down to MON. He does seem to have the team believing that they have plenty of goals in their locker. I still think we could score more - we should have been 2 or 3 up at half time today, for example. But the team does now look like it has goals in it and several of the attacking players are starting to look like what the various managers thought they were getting when they bought them.
Well done MON - keep it up. And Scholes, if MON wants certain players this month, go the extra mile to try to get them.

Ballsy starting line-up for a 6 pointer away from home, and he fucking nailed it for the most part. Knocking a ponint off for the five minutes of defensive madness, but not entirely sure MON can do owt about that.
I’m just impressed with the noticeable improvements in fitness, fight and character that we are starting to see, and if it continues, I think he’ll steer us clear of danger. Not expecting any more than that for this season - just focus on grinding out enough points for survival and build from there.

Looking like a good appointment, the players are obviously liking what they are seeing & hearing and he is showing he is good tactically.

Seems like MON thinks 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 is the way to go with these players?

How much of a bloody joke was Nathan Jones! Well done today MON - it’s a 10 from me Even worse than Ball, Little and Kamara in my opinion. Utterly dreadful, fraud of a manager who was scarily out of his depth at this level. It was like putting the coach of your local pub team in charge of a profession football team full of millionaire players.

Really happy with 3 points and the character shown by the players not to drop their heads when they went 2-1 down
However, it was ONLY Huddersfield, who are the next worst placed side above us and, Sheff Wed aside, we have only beaten the weakest teams in the division.
I REALLY hope that we can kick-on from here, but the squad still needs some significant additions
Great to see that Ince isn't undroppable

25,000 out of ten for me.
But minus 24,990 for the defence.
We need a couple of rock the city central defenders in the window otherwise we will continue to struggle for consistency.

Bold team selection - by god did it pay off though! 10 times the manager than that clueless Welsh shortarse was, MON has bought pride back into that squad and fight too. Bring in a solid holding mid in this window and we will be fine.

Pretty sure Fulham and at the time Swansea were up there when we beat them. We do have it in us now to do it against the “better” teams.

The “sure it’s only X” argument is bollocks, if we keep beating the sides directly below and above us happy days!

Seeing as we will play the 3 below us once more (2 away 1 at home) and then you are looking at teams above Huddersfield (we've play Hudds twice now) Only when we start beating some of the better placed teams will we be able to relax a bit

I just don't want to get too carried away with today's result bearing in mind what has gone before. We need some consistency. MON has a much better record in terms of points per game than Jones, but he inherited a very precarious position and we now NEED to maintain this improved points per game ratio for the rest of the season. 3 out of 4, 3 out of 5, will go down. We are part of the 4/5 so need to be better than the other 3/4 and that will mean beating other teams AND those 3/4 clubs around us I sincerely hope we can manage that but am realistic enough to accept it will be extremely tough.

So pleased with our first half performance, but again we seem to switch off from the start of second half! I must admit I was raging with anger, but was also very impressed by how we fought back and destroyed them after that. This is the third time under O'Neill's reign that we come from behind to win games which shows we certainly have the ability to stay up! Better times ahead I hope! We must stop this habit of conceding stupid goals though!

Great comeback and appears to have instilled a belief from the players in the way he wants to play.
That said, we're still woeful at defending anything even slightly resembling a dangerous ball into the box.
Hopefully, today's performance from Campbell will ram home what an absolute charlatan Tom Ince is and we'll never see this sham of a footballer pull on the red and white stripes again.
Keep on keeping on Mickey lad!
