Obviously nowhere near the same standard of player but he reminded me a bit of Mahrez today playing on the right and cutting in.

Brilliant today. I'd criticised him a number of times in the past for lack of effort, an inexcusable lack of fitness for someone so young and being too weak on the ball. Today he rammed those down my throat and after a slow start as he adjusted to the position he grew into the game and was great in the second half in particular. He certainly deserves a good run of games in that position now and the chance to make it his own.

His contract is up in the summer and I just don’t think he’ll stay. Hope he does. He’s worth having in the squad. The best finisher at the club by a mile and if we can get the other stuff up to scratch then he’s a fantastic talent. Lots of work needed to be done but well worth it. It will come down to money Moving to Celtic or Rangers makes sense for him as there would be no fee, as Scotland counts as abroad. Whereas we get a 'development' fee, provided if he stays in England because of his age. O'Neill has to keep playing him and Scholes has to offer him a decent contact. If the money adds up and he played often off he'd stay. If it doesn't he won't

I don't know about you but I don't want my wingers competing for the ball or heading it.
Much better that they hide and just pass it back to the full back at every opportunity or slow the attack down desperately trying to get it onto their one foot.

He's suddenly got a fair bit of leverage in contract negotiations. They know how much shit they'll get now if he buggers off Yes that is true but we do have the resources to give him a very good deal. Starting today is a good sign that MON sees him as part of his plans Just need to persuade Kevin to have the same point of view for his son Agreed with that. Kevin's ego is the biggest stumbling block. He very publically berated the club without any substantial merit based on the crumbs of evidence that Tyrese should be a first choice. Now if he'd waited potentially he'd have had s stronger argument. However he strikes me as the sort of bloke who having gone in both barrels blazing will be too stubborn to listen to any reasonable offers from now onwards and force a move simply out of trying to prove his social media outbursts had some merit.

IMO if he gets regular games and we play to his strengths which we have today he’d be mad to leave. I won’t hold my breath but agreed hope he stays we’d be mad not to offer him a new contract. Put Ince to shame Tbh he'd be mad to stay wouldn't he? How long has he been here? And that was his what 6th or 7th start despite us having numerous strikers that have failed. I'd be delighted if he stays but I really can't see him wanting to stay. He's probably already in talks with other clubs now.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-talking-points-huddersfield-campbell-3697217CAMPBELL’S CONTRACT Stoke will be criticised for not sorting this out sooner because he’s now in the final six months of his current deal and in a very powerful position. Not least if he keeps on churning out performances reminiscent of this one at Huddersfield.
To be fair to Stoke, the comings and going in the managerial hot seat hasn’t helped in deciding whether Campbell’s contract should be sorted, while the demands of those representing the player may be unrealistic for a club in Stoke’s current financial position.
We can only hope an agreement can be reached between now and the end of his contract, hopefully during January, because at this rate he remains a goalscoring asset any manager can ill afford to lose

Unbelievable today. A run of games will only see him in better light. He is a natural finisher. Hopefully the talks of him going Celtic are bollocks Hopefully we are looking like turning the corner at just the right time and Campbell will want to be part of it

He's getting space, it helps. I thought he made space for himself. He read the game well.

The start trying and playing well as the contracts running down trick!! However if it keeps us up who cares That’s what top or established players do to try and get a more lucrative contract.....not a 19 year old who is trying in vein to make a career for himself in the game. True but don't forget he is being advised by his father who currently seems to have a pretty low opinion of Stoke City.

Came across as a somewhat quiet easy going fella in his interview, was expecting him to be a bit of a drama queen like his old man.

2 goals, 1 assist and he hit the crossbar. I'm not getting carried away but when was the last player in a stoke shirt do that? His old man is a cock but if we can then we should try and renew his contract.

He doesn't contribute much but boy can he finish. I don't see him as a right winger,he doesn't do any defensive work at all. He's an out and out striker and we should play to his strengths, alongside a target man Great strikers conserve energy

Surely he will only move to a club where he will get more game time Is that likely to be one of the teams at the top of the championship or even a Premier league club? If so he should be good enough to be in our starting 11
