Dependent on whether we can get good competition for wide positions, players with pace especially with the ability to cross, also a midfielder with the ability to drive forward and link attack.
Also a combatitive midfielder.
Given our record in transfer windows I'm not convinced we have a scooby on how to have the window that is needed. Ince is so bad that verlinden surely has to return as a genuine contender. Where you get all them from when you are in a division 2 relegation battle is anyones guess

No much more harder games to come away from home in the second half of the season. WBA Leeds Bristol city Notts forest & our run in looks very daunting. Our form away from home is already not good & our home form will need to give us 7 wins out of the remaining 10 to have any chance.

We’re poor no two ways about it but I think 80% of this league is very average. MoN seems to have a football brain, I know some decisions from the outside may seem odd ( Etebo etc..) but I think he’s either had his hands tied or some attitudes have not been correct and with some decent additions and coaching we’ll just scrape it!

I don’t like the last 5 games at all- unfortunately I think we will come up a couple of points short and will be relegated.

Our form under MON suggests we will survive.
We need more wing options however, as a priority. Ince is coasting and McClean is playing well but one injury and we are bang in trouble.

No, i don't trust international managers running football clubs. What about the fact he was a club manager before he was an 'international manager'? Oh wait I guess that doesn't fit your agenda. Sorry.

I’d say yes but my one worry is that MON seems to rate certain players that I don’t, like Vokes and Ince. They are obviously part of the ‘platform for stability’ that he has set out to consolidate and having an ineffective right winger plus an immobile target man doesn’t seem really a recipe for winning enough games to stay up.

Much like our first season in the Prem, the window is absolutely crucial.

I’m amazed we are where we are given the start and my hope going into the new year was that we would be in touch with fourth from bottom. Well, we’ve managed that.
However, we are bloody shit with shit players with shit attitudes so it’s a no from me to stay up.

Winger and striker coming in (or coming into form) and keep Ryan fit yes. It will go to the wire.

I think we will stay up by the skin of our teeth and if MON can jettison some of the crap next season could be a different prospect , perhaps a top ten finish. Crystal balls eh

Well it's all about prices,I've bet against Stoke sometimes if that was where I thought the value was. It doesn't seem to matter which way I went Stoke had a knack of letting me down 🙄🤣 Groos.. Look that one up.

Before a ball was kicked I predicted we would score between 40 - 50pts based on NJ's second half of last season and his new signings and that was looking optimistic while he was still here.
I like the fact that we are beginning to look more like a unit and that we have a window coming and that our manager is accumulating some time with the players and also that we are actually out of the relegation zone.
I would be happier if there were 7 or 8 teams averaging less than a point a game and at least 3 teams below us that look utter w^nk. However, Wigan looked a decent team and Barnsley look like they are easily going to pull away under their current management regime, which could mean that 50+ points might be needed for safety.
It is hard to predict at the moment, I would not be surprised if we lost the next 5 games and then just folded, but I would like to think with a few extra editions we could hit the high 40's, especially if we can keep our home form going - but not sure that is going to be enough

For me it all depends on getting a player to make the difference, it's proven in the past when we stayed on from Championship, got promoted and stayed up in Prem. It's also proven the other way by not doing good business could go down.

I'm going to wait until the end of January to pass judgment. Based off what we have done since MON has come in, its too close too call (we've picked up points, but away form and performances against stiffer opposition still leave a lot to be desired) If we can bring in 2 midfielders (one holding, one central) and a left back who are decent at this level, and we can pick up 8 points between now and end of January, then I'll be more confident.
On what I've seen so far - it's too close to call, and if we do nothing and scrape it, we will be in massive trouble again next season.

From top to bottom the club stinks and given Scholes pay rise it’s a disaster for the players to hear. Definitely down

Yes, I think we will improve sufficiently under mon. Luton and barnsley new to the division, wigan could come up with a fight but i think we have enough if we bring verlinden back and get a decent wide forward player.
The tide will start to change soon, we will have enough, I think Charlton will come sliding down past us
