He’s the patron saint of sailors, merchants, archers, repentant thieves, children, brewers, pawnbrokers, cobblers and students... Take your pick... St jude is the patron Saint of lost causes So if its still looking grim at Easter it's time to start praying to St jude to deliver Stoke from the fate of league one If he’s the patron saint of lost causes & we’re praying to him, doesn’t that mean we’re lost...

I would suggest if we're still in the mire come Easter we are preety much a lost cause so a bit of devine help can't do any harm

The traditional colour of Ireland is blue. ................. and of carrots is purple. It was 'bred' out by the Dutch and gradually modified to orange, which was their national colour. Modern trendy cooking styles have re-introduced the purple colour to some degree, so you can get them, but the main colour of carrots overwhelmingly remains orange. (And while we're at it, you can also get purple potatoes...... )

They should nail a copy of it up in the dressing room.

Pluto and its main moon Charon are actually a binary system, because the barycenter of their orbits does not lie within either body.

However as he was born under the old Julian calendar, what was the 23rd April would actually be May 3rd under today's Gregorian calendar.

………..or then again, perhaps the salmon was Gravadlax, which had been done with a coating of grated beetroot instead of just salt, sugar and dill? (Which are all washed off after it's finished 'curing'.) Then, when it's sliced, the edges that had been the top and bottom sides of the piece of salmon would look purple……. OWZAT! PS: Yer-bee-der-bee-der !

From Wikipedia....
Roger Whittaker's parents, Edward and Vi Whittaker, were from Staffordshire, England, where they owned and operated a grocery shop. His father was injured in a motorcycle accident and the family moved to a farm near Thika, Kenya, because of its warmer climate.
How about that then.

Not so much a fact but something I noticed once... If you take the first half of the words 'Sweden' & 'Denmark' and put them together you get the word 'Sweden'. If you also put together the remaining letters you get 'Denmark'. Is there a reason for this? Are there other countries it can be done with?

Unfortunately a serious crash occurred on the A41 near Market Drayton the other day: www.shropshirestar.com/news/local-hubs/north-shropshire/market-drayton/2020/03/03/six-vehicles-involved-in-serious-crash-near-market-drayton/The A41 is a very long road (originally) running from Oxford Street in London to Birkenhead, with interruptions for motorways these days. The random fact: At the southern end the A41 comprises of both Baker St running into Orchard St, which ends at Oxford St; and Portman St., which starts at Oxford St and runs into Gloucester Place. So? Baker St. runs parallel to Gloucester Place and Orchard St. runs parallel to Portman St. Confused? Are there any other separate sections of an A road that run parallel to one another?

So you still won't know where you are. If your eyes were open they wouldn’t pop out tats an urban myth. It’s just the facial muscles required to sneeze force them closed 🤧

Strange but true fact.
Mama Cass, of the Mamas and Papas 60's pop group died in a bedroom of a Mayfair flat in 1974. Four years later The Who's drummer Keith Moon died in the same room.
