Hello friends I hope you have a happy and holy Christmas Please remember Jesus today, and if you don't believe then have a long hard think about what you're actually trying to achieve by celebrating This is a great website, and has really encouraged me to carry on making music. I will deliver more tracks for my fans next year and I hope we can engage in lots of theological debate

It's not a celebration of Jesus, at least for the vast majority it's not, it's two fingers up to winter and has been for an eternity before Jesus was even around.

How convenient that christmas falls near enough at the same time as the winter solstice. And we celebrate the new year as 2020 AD

Yes winter solstice moves a little but always around 21st / 22nd December.
In my mind I think Christmas is the 25th since it took them 3 or 4 days to really twig for certain the season was changing and we're not after all being plunged in to interminable 24 hour darkness.
A celebration of that change.
Then Christians came along and stuck a whole bunch of paraphernalia around the whole thing.

I can only show you the way I'm not planning any journeys for a month or two but thanks. I'm feeling quite drawn towards Buddhism truth be told, need to investigate it further. Or rastafarianism, might struggle with the dreads tho, I'm thinning somewhat on top, d'you think they're compulsory?

It's in the Bible, friend I imagine it is but why are you reticent about telling me, are you not here to educate us in the ways of your god? If you want to be educated on the resurrection, I suggest you read "Who Moved The Stone?" by Frank Morrison. Putting aside religious belief, which it appears you do not have and is a matter of faith and cannot be proven, as a first step consider those people that have been declared dead in error: www.independent.co.uk/news/world/halloween-come-back-life-waking-dead-funerals-mortuaries-confirm-russia-egypt-a8023916.htmlBilly Graham was asked to give a talk at a major American university. After his speech at dinner, he thanked the president of the university for the invitation, as he was not often asked to speak at academic institutions. The university president, said that was perfectly OK; they invited him as an open minded gesture to hear a Christian's view on life etc., but he himself was an atheist. Billy Graham said , "Is that right, in that case would you do something for me?" The president replied he would and Graham asked him to read the Gospel according to St John and let him know what he thought. Some months later after reading John's Gospel the university president rang Graham, who asked what his opinion on Christianity was now. The president replied "Well I still don't believe, but I would now describe myself as an agnostic rather than an atheist." Graham replied "Well at least that is a step in the right direction."
