He was unsighted by Lindsay. Even with the cock ups it was still an excellent shot. A couple of years ago we were talking about Butland being one of the best. Hes sunk that low we're letting him off with any old shit. It was a good shot. I'd expect a decent keeper to get a hand on it. A couple of the saves today show he's still got it in him. But he, like any keeper, needs an actual defence in front of him. We don't have that. The only thing we have is bystanders who are instructed not to tackle, not to position themselves, not to take responsibility if a team mate cocks up. If Lindsay or Batth had knocked the Boro player over it would have cost a yellow, but then Boro would not have scored. Can you imagine Dennis Smith or Mike Pejic just standing by like that? Jack could still be a good keeper, as for one of the best, maybe that was always overblown. But he will need to leave Stoke, as is, to get better.

Impressed how this was so predictable, nobody mentions his clean sheets or when he does well, but then as soon as we concede because of poor team play.... wow

Tbf the positioning isn’t great and could have done better but where is the midfield?
Cousins 60 yards out of position, 65k a week man no where to be seen.

Agenda driven bollocks. No one has been more critical of Butland than me.....well Bayern is more critical of everyone obviously....but he's been much improved these last 3 or 4 games and hasn't made any mistakes at all.

His kicking against Reading was absolutely atrocious but he hasn’t thrown one in for at least 4 games so that’s a start.

Christ some stoke fans are real wankers 😳🙄 You’re descriptive opinion of “some” fans is uncalled for. Opinions, are opinions. Never claim the high ground by calling others w*****s. He isn't wrong though.

I’ve been critical of Butland at times this season but no way could he be blamed for either goal. Smith and Baath messed up for first. Cousins made a mistake at the beginning of the move for their second but their player ran unchallenged for 2/3rds of the pitch without challenge and Lindsay completely blocked the sight line of Butland as their player shot! I was more annoyed with the ref booking Clucas for a dive when we should have had a pen. That completely changed the game.

Clucas should have stayed on his feet and got a shot off.

Nah, took him out completely. Even commentators said that after playbacks. If he’d stayed on his feet would probably have scored.

He’s pretty much unsighted for it. Nothing he could do. He could have stepped a yard to his right (centre of his goal) so he could see what was happening and given himself at least half of a chance to get a hand to it. Gouranga.

Agree Albert, positioning was poor ,very simlier to the Barnsley goal. When he dives you can see how far away he is from the ball and Jacks not a small keeper. Not totally his fault but has a part to play in the goal

Call out others opinions with logical argument/debate, by using that term it creates further division. The last thing we want at the moment
