I really enjoyed the 2 hours or so on BBC2 last night particularly the bit when joined by Ronnie Wood. Congratulations on becoming the oldest male artist to have a number one album. www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-50792979The absolute highlight was the remake of Do ya think I'm sexy by Kenny Everett

I was into his music right up until 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy' and I thought what the fuck is that?! Saw him at Ibrox Park in the early eighties and he put on a great show, strange venue thinking about it. Also had tickets for a gig at the Brighton Pavilion around 87, had no car at the time so got a coach from Portsmouth, I was sat in my seat and the fucker never showed up! Throat problems apparently, rumour went around the venue that he was pissed in his hotel, probably both My sister got into his music through nicking my records probably, she seen him loads, her prized possession is a signed football from his gig at the Brit.

We saw Rod in Taunton a few years ago. He put on a superb show, and can still belt out the songs. A few touches of nicely self deprecating humour too.

Came across as a real decent bloke, admits all of his weaknesses ( women ) and is massively loyal to his roots and his family.
Would love to know what he and Elton fell out over...

Saw him at Hyde Park a couple of years ago, he was doing more of the less well known stuff, which is his best stuff (gasoline alley, the killing of George etc)
First 20 odd minutes was up there with the best gigs I've seen. He then did a costume change (in a 50 minute set) and it went a bit downhill from there. Thought we might have been in for a surprise Faces reunion as he did one a couple of days beforehand but it never materialised, sadly.

Went to Leeds to see him last Wednesday and although at 75 he has obviously slowed the show down it was still an outstanding night .
