I will be gutted if Imbula goes. What can we do to keep him here? Needs games (& some nice leather gloves)

Imbula is the kind of person that just irritates me to no end. You know there's a talented and gifted player within him (we saw glimpses), but he just doesn't give a damn because doing nothing is so much easier than trying. I hate seeing potential wasted. Sad really.

He's fucking useless and the laziest player who has ever lived so you've got no worries there haha! Can you remember when Dinamo played Stoke a few years ago? Hahahaha this is making me happy to know! 😂 Yes I remember this! Our teams draw the games twice very close between us! I was happy to welcome Stoke city fans to my great city Kyiv! He is so good, he has been known to substitute himself if not satisfied with how the game is going.

We should test him to destruction by requiring him to do anything and everything that we can within his contract and then each time he breaks the terms of those requirements we should move via written warnings to a dismissal. He, along with Wimmer and Berahino, is a symbol for how fucked up our club has become. Berahino left in the summer

Is VK really that stupid? Anderlecht is prepared to bring the player into the team, but "money is tight". Sounds like another loan where he goes out but we pay all his wages and bills.

Maybe we could suddenly find technical irregularities with his work permit, or perhaps find that he entered this country illegally. Or perhaps he made a false claim about his age on his job application.
As a result Stoke have no option but to reluctantly let him go, although giving him their sincere best wishes with the hope that he finds success in his search for a new career.

Seems like Stoke now have a Europe wide reputation. Any old club can just take a player on loan from us, for as long as they might want him, and we pay most of his wages. All they have to do is pay the air fare for travel.

Imbula's contract with us stipulates that he must be paid a certain sum per week. Anderlecht, Belgium''s most wealthy club, allegedly cannot afford those wages, and so they, like his previous three loan clubs, get him for more or less nothing in order to take the huge problem that G off of our hands. Allegedly we have such a weak club culture that having him around would disturb the atmosphere and other players might follow his poor example. So we are grateful for any club to take him and will gladly pay some or all of his wages, since we would have to do that anyway, if he doesn't find a club.

Stoke's main failing in signing Imbula?
Assuming he was actually a 'professional' footballer
He couldn't hold a job down at McDonald's if he couldn't play football
Here's looking forward to reading his exploits post-retirement and how he has squandered his ill-gotten gains

We should make him train on his own and if he refuses fine him. Sends out a message, although that's like shutting the barn door after the horse has bolted

Watch their tune change when they are playing u23s football in Costa del sot. Like many things scfc its entirely of scfcs own making. We are a soft touch club, they know it, we know it, their agents know it and so do other clubs

In addition to the earlier Turkish links, Leganes from Spain getting a mention.
Regardless, there doesn't seem to be any way Lecce can send him back here without our agreement. So don't suppose it really matters, although with an eye on next season, we really need him to go somewhere he's going to play just so there remains some prospect of someone taking him on loan next year

Footballers are a law to themselves really and can do whatever they want it seems. Further, no team can justify watching a large investment rot away in the reserves. Imbula and N’Diaye were poor purchases in hindsight. We obviously hoped that N’Diaye would solve all our problems and that Imbula’s blip in Porto was just a blip. However, the only two I’ll never fully understand are Berahino and Wimmer.

www.calciolecce.it/2020/01/16/lo-sfoltimento-della-rosa-avanti-spedito-per-imbula-ce-la-liga/Hot hours for the sale of Giannelli Imbula . The now former Lecce player , requested in China, France, Belgium, Turkey and Spain, seems to have made his decision on the next destination. This should be the Spanish Liga - and Leganes . The biancazzurri are in exactly the same condition as the Giallorossi, in full struggle for survival Imbula would wear the Leganes shirt on loan with the right of redemption, the same formula that Stoke City had given to Lecce . To have influenced the final decision of the player would have been the fact of knowing both the Spanish league and the geographical area. In fact, Imbula played last year with the shirt of Rayo Vallecano , a club in a district of Madrid located a few kilometers from the city of Leganes.

I wonder how many people actually ‘try’ to be a footballer, and I mean really try. Sure, many thousands, if not millions of people kick a ball around when they are younger, but for the majority of those that do it, they lose interest after a few years. How many really put their heart and soul into making it a reality to be honest? The nurse comparison is a bit of an odd one to make also.
