I'd wager the tories probably took at least 75% of all of the wards in Stoke north/south/central/NUL.
North in particular is a serious twatting for Labour.

A massive rejection of identity politics and a progressive agenda... The normal tax paying citizens of this country and in other parts of the west are sick to the back teeth of being told what to say or what to think...
I'd go further and say this is just the beginning as when Trump gets re-elected in 2020 you'll really see the communists/globalists ramp up the UN anti nation agenda and then I think the brown stuff will really hit the fan
Just listening to the MSM right now it's clear they're not happy with the result

So one of the worst poverty stricken, poorly, educated, desperate cities in the country votes to continue and endorses more of the same. The city also has the lowest wages of any other city in the UK . Mind boggling on every level.I must be totally out of touch because I just dont get it. I understand brexit but not this.

Unbelievable.
At the moment I'm concerned for the schools, NHS, and for those who can't afford to eat.
I will happily eat humble pie if the city and country are in a good place in five years, though I can't see it.
The lack of empathy towards those struggling, needing help, or needing the NHS because of being blinded by Brexit is astounding.
Lastly, the Tory target of decarbonising by 2050 is feeble, we'll be lucky to have a society to decarbonise by that point.
A broken society

People have rejected hard left, virtue-signalling identity politics. The average British Joe wants to see British not Palestinian flags at Labour gatherings and doesn't want to feel like Oswald Moseley for saying so. As for Maomentum, get back to the back rooms of pubs where you belong.

Stoke on Trent voting for a party that has ripped apart its soul and made it a ghost town by ripping its funding yet its people have actually voted for them.
How a person with a normal job with and a normal income from this city can put a X in that tory box is beyond me
Shameful

I'm deeply ashamed of the people of Stoke On Trent. I come from an era when the city consisted of hard working men and women who worked in industries such as the potteries, mining and steel and where people knew where their best interests were served. Now, despite 10 years of stagnation and decline under the Tories the pig ignorant mugs have signed the death warrant for the public services they rely on. You have betrayed the heritage of our great grandparents and the future of our children and grand children.

This city has had many powerful and extremely good Labour politicians in the past who have done good things for the city. What have the tories ever done for us?

Turkeys voting for Christmas. All because Bozza is a bit of a lad. Great job guys. Hope you get everything you voted for.
That said I can understand anyone not having faith in the Labour leaders. The thought of Dianne Abbott with more responsibilities than trying her shoes is horrifying.
