Great again, credit where it is due. That midfield trio is doing bits now.

Joe was great today. Sure people only see the few balls he gives away but he has the ball more than other. Most of the chances we had were because he broke up play and played the ball forward. He won more tackles , broke up play so much more than the few balls he gave away. Very rare any forball has a perfect 90 minutes On the receiving end of some pretty nasty tackles that went unpunished

He did well intercepting the ball but he struggled to find a team mate first half, again improved a lot in the second.

A player that again broke everything up in midfield before it became a probelm for the back four. A player that passed forward a player that had shots on goal, a player that got an assit. WHAT THE FUCK MORE DO SOME PEOPLE WANT? he isnt perfect but 7 out of 10 bits of play are, and at the arse end of the championship you tell me a better player for that center mid place? Very under rated and very difficult to replace with like for like, let alone better.

I spent the first half screaming at him for misplacing passes. Second half he was excellent. The style of play definitely suits him as he’s brilliant at winning the ball high up the pitch.

I thought he was toss again the first half. His passing was awful and him and Clucas might as well not have been on the pitch.
An absolute contrast to the second half. He read the game, intercepted loads and his passing was miles better topped off with the assist.

For me he is playing no better than he's always done. Finally he has teammates doing the same kind of pressing and work that he has ALWAYS done. Surprise surprise he then looks like a better player.
Often criticised for "running around like a headless chicken", translated to "doing the work that nobody else is".
When he leaves people will finally appreciate what he contributes.

I think some people ripped him apart under Jones, so much so that they don't have the face to admit that he's actually a good player..... It was Jones tactics, formation, management, call it what you will, that was shit, and it made all the team look shit...not just Joe!!!

Is the only player that is attracting interest from the premier league.. that's not true, Sheffield United were, and probably still are interested in Campbell. He has divided opinions because of his inconsistency and sloppiness in midfield over 2/3 years. He's turning a corner under MON. the first half showed why he might struggle in the Prem. Lack of concentration, misplaced passess. Second half he was magnificent.

The fact he was playing every game was because of his quality!!

His passing was poor today but as always breaks play up brilliantly. Another loss at West Ham and I think they’ll be at their panic stations tonight and you have to wonder if a bid is imminent.

He misplaced a few first half for sure. He rarely put a foot wrong in the second and managed to get an assist, so I think it’s harsh to generalise that his passing was just poor

Would be madness to sell him now, maybe in the summer when oneill has time to work with his new squad, especially his new midfield jordan Thompson.
We keep him and the profit will be bigger as we slap 15million on him

His ability to pass through the lines is good even if his range is low, today I thought it was generally poor.

It’s not even a comparison of Campbell moving to Sheffield United where he he may have have been loaned back out and a senior professional moving to a premier league club where he would be brought to hit the ground running immediately!! It’s a rational judgement rather than management of experience

Joe Allen has been the least of our problems. It’s baffling that people jump on his back straight away, when all he has done is be loyal and worked his bollocks off for Stoke City, regardless of form. Yet players who don’t give a shit about the club ie. Etebo & Badou are admired on here and in the stands, yet at the first opportunity they are out the door.
I believe under MON we are seeing the players who want to play for this club. There is a reason why Joe Allen is never dropped. He sets an example to everyone else of what playing for the shirt is and now everyone is around him is getting their shit together your seeing the quality player that the sensible ones know he can be.
