"Wanted to freshen it up" says McKinlay
Nigel didn't ask any interesting questions about anyone, but presumably Badou has still got the bug he was supposedly suffering from yesterday?

He's just asked about Badou and Etebo.
Badou unavailable with a virus.
Etebo hasn't played much football and needed games - and he'll be available for Saturday

If this doesnt prove that he's been told not to play Badou then I dont know what will. Jordan. Fucking. Cousins. In what way does it prove it, maybe he just doesn't rate the others, he'd be wrong but it doesn't prove anything.

Seriously. What the fuck is wrong with these managers. Could one of us fans seriously do much worse a job. I know Cousins was toss before we’d signed, why can’t people who get paid thousands to do so see the same thing?

I genuinely despise this sorry excuse for a club at the moment.
The whole fucking place wants burning down.
COATES OUT, FUCKING EVERYONE OUT!

Well I got 9 right ,
Brilliant to see Ryan and best of luck to cousins . Win lose or draw question has to be asked of SF where were Badou , Etebo , Gregory , Bruno all of who would be most people squad if not 11 on merit , if he loses he’s done for without a decent answer ie all ill , unavailable no matter what the board think

He’s actually managed to make people forget that Ryan is back from a broken leg. Some going that is.

WTF is happening - just goes from worse to worse.
You really have to question MON. His team selection(s) are nothing short of mind boggling.
Season ticket sales will crash with decision like this.

I'd keep Batth over Lindsay, but guess he wants one right footed and one left footed central defender. I actually think Cousins will protect the defence better than Woods, but why our two best midfielders are kept out, even of the squad, really baffles me!

Great to have Ryan back. Maybe he’ll give them a boost (and some organisation) anyway. The rest of the team is very questionable.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/live-stoke-city-luton-teams-3626627McKinlay: I don't need to tell anyone about Shawcross's qualityBilly McKinlay tells Radio Stoke: “Obviously the games are coming thick and fast and we just felt we would freshen up a little bit. That’s the thinking behind them. “It’s fantastic to have Ryan back. Since we came in he’s been training really well. It doesn’t need me to tell anyone associated with this football club about the qualities and stature of Ryan Shawcross. “He will bring as well as his general quality on the pitch, he has leadership too and his organisational skills will be something we have been looking forward to having.” McKinlay explains Lindsay returnMcKinlay: “We’ve stuck with pretty much a stable back four apart from the illness of Cameron Carter-Vickers but we just felt we needed a little change to freshen things up a bit and bring one or two things to the game. “I have to say that we have such a big squad here, as everyone knows, and the players have really been training hard - not just the ones who have been playing. The ones who have not been in the team have been asking the manager questions in terms of their training performances. “We felt it was the right time to freshen things up a little bit.” McKinlay explains Cousins selectionMcKinlay: “I think Ryan (Woods) had played five on the bounce since the manager came in. Jordan brings something different to what Ryan offers and we’re looking for him to come in and dovetail off Joe and offer some protection for the two centre-halves in particular. “And obviously he has good energy and legs to get up and down the pitch and added to his quality on the ball, we thought that was the right change.” What's happening with Ndiaye and Etebo?McKinlay: “Badou, after Saturday, had a virus over the last couple of days. I don’t know if he picked that off Cam (Carter-Vickers). “Peter missed a few days’ training last week and we felt that he hadn’t played much football so we felt it was better that he played the game last night, which he did. “Peter came through that game all right. He played the full game and produced a good level of performance. That’s him back in the fold and we’re looking forward to him being available for Saturday in that sense.”
