Andy Burnham is what’s needed the first person to privatise an NHS trust, I thought the NHS wasn't for sale he'd be OK but could people trust him, he tried lying to me on twitter I called him out with a fact and he didn't respond

Andy Burnham is what’s needed That’s a good shout but I suspect it will be Sir Kier Starmer A Tory sounding name He looks like a Tory He speaks like a Tory He has a London luvvie seat He'd be perfect to take the Labour Party back to the centre ground then where it's clearly going to head.....

David Lammy was on radio saying he would throw his hat in the leadership race. It's possible he is the only person who could be more unpopular than Corbyn. He is deluded if he thinks he is the answer. At this rate i might be forced into voting Green.

Please be Andy Burnham, i like Starmer but i fear Corbyn has destroyed his chance this time. In the future he may be a good option but at the moment its too raw.

Someone who is the complete opposite to Corbyn should be and probably will be next leader.
Female, young, Northern, no chequered history of activism/controversy/beliefs
Angela Rayner and Jess Phillips are far too argumentative and would quickly and easily be turned into hate figures by the right wing media.
Rebecca Long-Bailey would be a good bet.

Yvette Cooper if labour want to change tack. I thought Burnham should have been appointed when Corbyn was made up.

I get that but you want the working class back Surely they need someone who is relateable to them not Son of Blair The party needs to decide whether it wants to be a genuine socialist democratic party with like minded MP's that don't constantly undermine the direction it's heading, or another neoliberal centrist party to add to the list. Personally speaking I think it should be the former, real change is needed in the country rather than a slightly different version of the status quo. If Labour lurch back to the right I'll probably just spoil my ballot in the next election, when Charles Kennedy was in charge of the Lib Dems they felt like a real alternative to the other two, but now they're just Tory Lite. Be interesting to see where the Lib Dems head with their leader as well.......

The Conservatives (due to Brexit and Corbyn) have smashed through the North and Midlands traditional Labour heartlands. The only thing that could stop them is a Labour/LibDem centre alliance similar to the SDP breakout many years ago. BoJo is now all powerful and it will be interesting to see how he deals with it. Blue Stoke on Trent eh. Wow.

Blue Stoke on Trent eh. Wow. The only thing I will say is they have plenty of time to groom candidates for the next election, work on a more palatable socialist democratic manifesto and get their shit together internally. Plus who knows what the Tories will do, if they mess up Brexit and stitch up all their new voters in the Labour heartlands they could hand over power by default. If Labour lurch to the right with an Yvette Cooper, Keir Starmer or God forbid Jess Phillips many will be pleased and good luck to them, I certainly wouldn’t be supporting them......

Personally, I'm more of a centre grounder..... And I think that is the only way Labour will get back into power. It's absolutely catastrophic for the Labour Party. Probably in fifteen years time they will get the message again.

Speaking to my mum earlier and she said that she’d never in her life time see Stoke a full conservative, she’s in her late 70’s but dragged herself out to vote conservative for the first time in her life, main reason Brexit and her total hatred for Corbyn.
