This has been produced Fan Insights, a company set up by Kevin Rye, who used to work for Supporters Direct. It purports to measure the extent to which each of the top 92 clubs engages with their fans. The FSA has had no involvement with it, and some of my colleagues take considerable issue with some of the scores and rankings. It does not fully explain the data used and how they are translated into scores.

Anyway, Stoke are firmly mid-table at 41st out of the 92. Personally, I think that's probably about right. When the Supporters Council was set up, we cited it as a model of good practice, but because of various changes which were made, which have been discussed on here, and other issues relating to the Council elections, we no longer feel able to do so, but it's still better than a lot of clubs.

Ah ! That link doesn't work. If you follow this link, you can download a copy if you enter your email address ( although it doesn't say so, I suspect that may get you added to a mailing list, which if so, is a GDPR breach, but Kevin is not a guy who will exploit you in any way). www.faninsights.co.uk

Somehow the link between Stoke fans, and engagement with the management failed a very long time ago. Your links appear to have failed also.

A very interesting read and a good insight into what other clubs, specifically a lot of lower league clubs, are doing and doing so well.
Alternatively, it shows us in quite a poor light in how the club isn't really engaging with the fans and how the Supporters Council in my mind seems very one sided.
Thanks for the link Malcolm.
I'm not surprised at the results. I have had a few dealings with the club and the Supporters Council here and every time I have dealt with the Council they have taken my case on board and presented my questions to the club and also have got the club supporters officer involved. Essentially they have done their job and in each case, did it in a superb response time.
In one case, a couple of years ago, the response was superb and above and beyond. Sadly, another case last summer was dealt with by the club in the most unprofessional manner I have ever encountered in a customer - business relationship.
I find it quite disturbing and disappointing in equal measure that we are owned by a staunch Labour man, in a heavy labour area that is financially poor, and yet we can't find our way into the top ten at least for engaging with our supporter base.

The link on my post immediately above yours works fine for me, Clem. Only partially worked for me Malcolm. I have VERY slow rural internet and it took minutes to load. I then had the option to view a video and I was invited to click to download a copy. Then I clicked to download a copy and another screen opened asking me to enter my email address. BUT THERE WAS NO BOX TO ENABLE ME TO ENTER MY EMAIL ADDRESS! So, unusually for me, I am not a satisfied customer!

I’ve never had problems on the few occasions I’ve had dealings with the club - on one occasion many many years ago I even got a personal phone call from Mr Coates who has always had my upmost respect ever since. In general my match day experience is fairly rubbish but the truth is that’s down to the team , sub zero temperatures and the car parking system from hell - none of which can be easily rectified. ( global warming will probably take care of the temperatures before we get things sorted on the field! )

Let's see if this link works faninsights.co.uk/enter-email-address/download-id/1351/ Edit - yes it does. I hadn't noticed Potterlog's post when I posted this. I'm a bit more polite than he/she is
