It is obvious that he's not match fit - was breathing out of his arse after 20 minutes.
However his cameos this last week have shown that he's our best bet for a regular goal scorer - get him fit and play him alongside someone uptop - unfortunately I don't know if we have a decent partner for him in the whole squad.

Gregory best bet. At least we have 2 strikers who give a fuck then.

Missed 2 sitters today. As much as he's loved he's still pants when he has to think before shooting.

I can't see it, it seems like it would take most of the season to get him anywhere near fit, he couldn't even last the few mins he was on the pitch for, he did make a difference though that was good to see.

If Vokes is the other option then it's an absolute no brainer, Diouf breathing out of his arse is better than Vokes strolling around looking disinterested.

Hogan, play the guy that can actually 1) Be in the right place and 2) Put the ball away.

Gregory with Hogan

Hogan has been awful when he's started.
He's a sub for me. Diouf is about the best striker we have.
Gregory is awful in front of goal but when he plays well, he can link the play but it's every about 3 games.
So Diouf for me (I'd play 4231).

I'd rather have him on the right than Ince. Can we please just get rid of CCV at right back he's terrified of going over half way. Edwards and Diouf even I forgive them both more mistakes than CCV and Ince.

It needs to be Hogan plus another, he's our best striker as it stands.

None of our strikers are any good. We will need to buy one that can bang in the goals in January.

Diouf seems to have the Charlie Adam ability to make things happen, whether that be good or bad. Frankly just having a forward who can jump and genuinely try to win a header is an improvement on what went on before he got on the pitch.

Even Mike Bassett would see Vokes doesn’t come before Gregory or Diouf.

Diouf won more headers in 20 minutes than that lumbering cart horse Vokes won in the entire game.
Hopefully that was enough today for MON to make his mind up about Vokes.

Both are overpaid failures that continue to enjoy a fine payday above what they could get anywhere else. The whole club is full of players earning enough not to worry if they dont get win bonuses. Rotten to the core

Diouf could be the wide right solution.
I'd be selecting the front three from: McLean, Gregory, Diouf, Powell.
There rest just don't offer enough.

Diouf can at least win a header , unlike Vokes. Has any centre forward been so useless in that department, you would have thought it would be a prerequisite for that position,

The only pairing that's actually looked like a combination that could work on this season's evidence. A shame it was broken up so quickly imho. Dioufy has a bit of catching up to do on the match fitness front, but is an obvious contender for a starting place when you consider Vokes as the only other option being looked at. Where all this leaves Campbell, I don't know.
