Not only the players are to blame today but MON showed a complete lack of courage.
When the double sub took place we went 3 at the back CCV, Batth, BMI. We started to press them back with a 3-5-2 formation. We get the equalizer when they were dropping further and further back. Instead of continuing to press them he instantly made JM move to left back making a back 4 again (we know this never ends well). This enabled Blackburn to move their midfielders forward again and get back into the game - the resultant shit left back then was exposed by their fullback and we all saw what happened.
When we were 3-5-2 the said Blackburn fullback never dared cross the halfway line - as soon as we went 4-4-2 it allowed their fullback (who had JM in his pocket all game) to move forward
Absolutely shit game management.

Really?
I thought we kept it exactly the same with 3 at the back. I thought we should’ve gone back to 4 at the back after we equalised, as we never look remotely comfortable playing with 3 centre backs.
I’ve seen their goal again and it looks like a back 3, where Martins Indi is done for pace and the other 2 centre backs are all over the place leaving their striker free for a 5 yard tap in.

I disagree with original post. We stayed exactly the same but they wanted to win and as soon as we scored they upped their game and attacked realising BMI in particular is as slow as a cart horse. I thought when we scored he would task McLean or Clucas to sit back but I don't think he did. Unfortunately as usual we can't defend against a player who runs at us and can't defend a cross.

We stayed as a three after the goal, we should have gone back to a four imo, Diouf was spent and was never going to get back much, so much so Hogan ran past him to track back down his side.

I take my OP back

From where I was sitting the problem was he didn’t change back to a back four And it took them approximately 3 mins to exploit that , More gaps in our defence than steptoes teeth

Leave the bare minimum at the back, everyone else goes up front and you have nothing between.

I must admit when we equalised and the crowd were urging us on to go balls out for the winner I asked myself the simple question 'If you could have the final whistle sound now or throw the dice on the last 10 minutes which would you take?' and back came a voice saying 'take the draw' !!
