Very sad. Sean was a few years above me at St Gregory's in Longton.
My Mum was a dinner lady there at the time and still tells everyone that she used to give him (and Bill Bentley) extra potions and what a lovely lad he was.
RIP Sean.

Sad news.
Very underrated player in my opinion.
Wide midfielder/workhorse.
Bit like a James Milner type.
RIP
Condolences to friends and family.

Very sad. Sean played in the very first Stoke game I watched. And mine too ! Home to Coventry midweek, we were 0-1 down and he equalised with a 25 yard belter into the Boothen end goal Then Ritchie got the winner RIP Sean

The term ''unsung hero'' is often used in football for players who don't get the recognition they deserved. Sean Haslegrave was a prime example of this, he was a tenacious tackler who could play in a variety of positions. Tony Waddington loved having this type of player to call upon. Sean made about 100 appearances for Stoke City over a six year period and never let the club down. Sean, we thank you for your contribution to Stoke City, gone, but not forgotten. Sincere condolences to his family, friends, R.I.P Sean.

Very sad news. Think it was Seans excellent corner kick that Smithy got his head on, to score the only goal in the 5th round FA Cup replay again against Ipswich at Portman Road in 1971. Fondly remembered. Condolences to his family - such a lovely guy.

Very sad news.
I hope the club will do something to acknowledge his contribution to Stoke in the 70's
Very underrated player. Didn't want to leave Stoke either, but held his own with the likes of Hudson, Greenhoff etc. Remember him playing really well v. Ajax too.
Cloughie also became a big fan of his after seeing his performance v Ajax and eventually signed him for Forest.
