So we don’t sign anybody from Scotland then? We could always sign £60m worth of proven players and also loan players from the premiership who’ll keep us in good stead I was just showing a player with a comparable record, I didn't come to any conclusion, I'll leave that to you Like Southampton signing Van Dyke from Celtic or Villa signing McGinn from Hibernian? In fact Hull signed that bloke Andy Robertson from Dundee United wtf were they thinking about Cmon eh

We don’t own a striker that is presently good enough to be starting in the Championship so we definitely need one at least.

I think Gregory is doing a fantastic job, but unfortunately he isn't a great goalscorer. I actually think Vokes would bring more goals, but he won't be able to do all the running and create something out of nothing like Gregory does. Maybe in a 442 they both could play, but our players seemed very comfortable with the 433 against Barnsley. This new player linked seems like a target man with goals, on paper at least, so I guess we will try to offload Vokes before bringing him in.

Yorkshireman. 24 goals in fifty odd games for Aberdeen Of course hard to guage given the standard of that league but worth a look? Low wages, small fee (£5m?less?) Not that Scottish league nonsense Cmon lord you are better than that I'm better than the Scottish League? 😀

He links the play up in about every 3 games and can’t hit the broad side of a barn door. Not bad for playing intermittently but if we want to progress we need much better. Vokes has been awful since signing. Campbell is still learning and that’s cool but we need players ahead of him that we can rely on and then bring him on to learn with the job already done. Hogan is an impact player from the bench, when he’s started he’s been about our worst player. So yeah I think it’s a shower of shit up front tbh.

If we keep playing a system that suit our player I think our strikers will start banging them in as well, at least I hope so.

Gregory is what he is, a lower Championship, upper League one player and he’s shown us nothing to suggest otherwise. Vokes and Hogan have been woeful for us. Campbell has been poor but has an excuse. I think that’s fair.

If we're talking Scottish players or players in Scotland, has anyone seen Liam Donnelly play? Northern Irish lad who is in the current squad. Seemed to start off as a right back but has shifted into midfield and apparently played in a number of different positions, and scored 5 in 10, for Motherwell including DM, CM and RM. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/liam-donnelly/leistungsdaten/spieler/211121

I tend to agree previously it seemed we picked systems guarenteed to get the least out of our strikers, no width or crosses when playing Vokes and Hogan needs the ball playing behind the defenders to run onto against Derby with Woods playing he got this so obviously Woods was soon exiled.....

And yet still better than Campbell. I'd rather have Campbell learning on the job than the fatso pension collector barely going through the motions myself. Why bother, Campbell will be gone in the summer.

Vokes is meant to be a targetman though and Jones had us hoofing it to him and he was wank. Hogan is what he is, he’s a luxury who we can ill afford.

Says on Wiki that he is 6ft 2”.... Looks taller than that on the video footage or he plays with midgets (in a footballing way).

Similarly Connor Murray at Queen of the South May be worth a look for wide left.

He looks to be a proper old fashioned, big lump striker. I have no doubts that if he did end up here we would be able to coach and remove any last bit of goal scoring ability from him so he too could be added to the graveyard of Stoke City strikers. What struck me most about those clips though was just how wank goalkeeping continues to be in Scotland... even Jack could look good up there. That goal where the keeper throws the ball in the net! 😁 Like the look of this striker, though.

Can I be the first to say he's dogshit and plays in a pub league? Followed by telling you I've got a bad feeling about this but hope I'm proved wrong? Please keep saying I told you so every time he doesn’t score and let us know how much we should have listened to you at the start. I'll be pleased to.

Do we need a striker? You'd imagine we'd need to sell Vokes, Diouf and let Hogan go for any others to come in.

He looks from the video like a warm body we could throw in to the fray.
I would say he can't play football to save his life but I thought very much the same of Ian Moores and Lee Chapman and they both carved out decent careers while apparently devoid of any of the usual attributes you might expect of a football player.
It won't be pretty but I suppose it could just work, nothing else has.
