Would be nice to see a few of you at Newcastle-under-Lyme Christmas Farmerās Market on Friday 20 December.
Thereās Punx Puds and Manchester Cheesecake Co at the market with loads more in the last one before Christmas.
Support your local traders and help rebuild a much improved market.

Tight mate plenty of cops and all the roads were blocked with massive concrete blocks so safe for pedestrians. I've been taking regular trips for the last 18months and no issues whatsoever in fact if I thought it was dangerous I would not recommend it and I do mate very much so. Where you thinking of going to visit.

I'm sure there are more qualified mate I'm new to Germany being fair but I have to say Cologne was just amazing, the vid I posted was just one part of the market from one random bloke on YouTube from 2018 I've genuinely not been to anything like it. I'm lucky my lad lives out there its opened my eyes it's a beautiful country and so easy to get about. I dont know about now but I've booked flights to Cologne for several months in advance with Ryanair and they are around Ā£30 return to Manchester. I use the bus(2hrs) or train(1hr) to visit my lad in Frankfurt. All I'll say is that me and the missus are 100% doing Cologne next Christmas. This is the 2019 edition of the market by the same chaps, my hotel was 20yards from the ice rink.

Okay, folks, just in case anyone's interested, there's a prog about these coming up on TV in a couple of days:
Gregg Wallace's Magical Christmas Market C5 Tuesday (17/12) 9pm
It says: 'He travels round Europe to learn how the humble market stall has become such a key staple of Christmas.'
As it's being presented by him (I suppose that's what you call an example of the 'every cloud' theory in reverse), he'll probably be sampling all the food and not bothering with any of the hand-made ornaments, etc......

To be fair Carps a lot of the germans I talk to are saying the same as us. Immigration needs to be curbed and benefits for illegal immigrants is ridiculous. True story I was told there was drive to refurb old pedal cycles in a small area just outside Frankfurt to give to the children of the poorest immigrant families but they were rejected because they wanted new ones.

Another vote in favour of Germany here ā Iāve only been there a few times but there is just something that āfeels rightā about the place. And, for all us xenophobic, Nazi racist Brexiteers, I would highly recommend a visit to Nuremburg. The place definitely has something of an atmosphere enhanced, of course, by events that took place there. When you see things like the huge parade ground that youāve seen in so many black and white programmes and documentaries, and you picture who was standing at the end making the speeches and whipping up the euphoria of the crowds, it doesnāt half give you the willies! (and an overwhelming sense of sadness, before my back gets overloaded with virtue signallers)
