Oh just fuck of Souttar you nob end. What a simpleton. Done himself no favours there. You would think footballers might have at least an ounce of common sense to keep schtum when it comes to earnings, but no, the thick twats can't even do that.

Now there's something you don't often see. 'Footballers' and 'common sense' in the same sentence. Unless of course there's a 'have no fucking' in the middle.

That amount should be the living wage for everybody as a minimum rather than the likes of Mike Ashley and Philip Green salting it all away, the greedy tw@ts!

People are paid what they are worth to the company unfortunately. Artificialy inflating their value above what they earn for the company leads to automation, paying suppliers and manufacturers less and less, leading to job losses.

Life isn't that simple though is it, if you were running a corner shop or similar small business how could you pay someone £15 per hour without putting your business in jeopardy.

McDonalds are already seemingly well under way with automation as well. Now they've introduced the electronic touchscreen tills for a good couple of years, I've seen the sheer number of people using them and completely bypassing the usual counter assistants. Now they're at a point where they can start doing away with counter assistants for good and just get the kitchen staff to make a drink and bring the food over (and I'm sure I see less and less people running the till at Longton maccies nowadays).

The average pay in Sweden is £3k to £4k a month, doesn't seem to effect them much, although the cost of living is higher. The standard of living is consequently higher than here, something to aspire to I think and a low pay economy only helps the fat cats!

When i saw a student I was on less than 4 quid an hour washing pots and pans. I remember being chuffed when I got a job packing paint at 4.20 an hour.
15 quid an hour to work at McDonalds would be great for students or school leavers.

Oh just fuck of Souttar you nob end. So it’s wrong to point out that people who nurse the sick and elderly in the community are not earning the minimum wage when you add there traveling time between jobs

Oh just fuck of Souttar you nob end. What an utterly bizarre comment. Firstly it's wildly inaccurate (unless he's talking about nurses in central africa) but then, why the fuck would a young pro footballer who likely earns at least £3k a week (I bet it's more) be scoffing at fast food workers, who are doing an unfashionable job at a wildly profitable global corporation, seeking to get their wages upped to less than double the min wage? It's so weird. Souttar needs to stay off social media because that's embarrassing. It's the sort of tweet a parody of tory boy from harry enfield would produce.

No. Monthly median wage is £2448 in Sweden in the non-private sector. Monthly median wage is £2488 in Sweden in the private sector. Furthermore, we have a hugely biased wage distribution. We have extremely large groups working full time earning below £1900 per month. The living costs are perhaps about the same and the standard of living also, I would say.

We have nurses on less than minimum wage? I'm finding that hard to believe if I'm honest. As a care worker on an 'apprenticeship' I imagine £2 per hour is not uncommon for under 18's My lad worked as a chef all over xmas for that when he was 17 NHS pay minimum for a health care support worker £17,652 before tax and 9% pension contributions Nursing home will pay less
