'OK Boomer' is a meme. 'Gammon' is a derogatory term used by racists. You have to love the irony of the perpetually offended/triggered/angry calling other people gammon.

Those who call other people 'snowflakes' are the ones that are the most easily triggered themselves.
I completely agree with Chlöe Swarbrick, good on her.

The ok boomer thing is the other side of the snowflake coin. If older people want to get offended by it that’s fine. I’m offended by the environmental crisis older people have caused
Swings and roundabouts 😂

Why "good on her" for addressing parliament and then thinking that using one of the most pointless comments in current usage is a valid way to counter an argument? Do you genuinely think that saying "Ok boomer" when heckled (which all politicians are in Parliament) gets her point across, or do you think it's just even more likely that the people she's aiming it at will completely switch off from what she's saying? It's one thing when 13 year old kids use the phrase on instagram but for a politician (who is in a position to at least fight for real change) to use it is poor to be fair. What's next, if someone heckles next time will she shout out "Your mom's gay" and fist bump her mate while yelling "Buuuurn bruh"? Yes, older generations need to take younger generations and their concerns more seriously, but if they think this is the way to be taken seriously as adults then they're really going to have a shock when they get into the real world. At least other climate change activists actually discuss and argue their points. This is just exceedingly poor and will achieve the exact opposite of what she NEEDS to happen in order to effect change. Whether she likes it or not, it's the "boomers" that have the power in governments and industries, so simply acting in this way will simply switch people off from what she's saying. She needs to engage with them in dialogue whether she likes it or not, not completely turn them against her. She's doing her cause no good whatsoever. Parliament is a place where you CAN alert members of the public and other politicians to real issues and expose opponents lies and untruths by countering them. All she's done is basically create a meme that kids think is funny, whilst the people she aims it at simply ignore her and carry on doing what she wants to stop. She's wasted a good opportunity to make valid points by turning it into a clickbait meme....i bet most teens know about her doing it, i also bet most teens have absolutely no clue about anything else she said in her address. It's utterly bizarre that anyone of any age could think that saying "Ok boomer" will actually offend anyone in any way or achieve anything at all. People who say it think "Ha that showed him" when in reality they just ignore you, you're forgotten about in 30 seconds and they continue to do what you wanted them to stop. It just screams "i have nothing valid to counter you with, so i'll throw a random insult in" which is fine on the Oatcake but in politics?? It's just embarrassing really and completely wasting her position.

Didn't read the article - is this to do with the way in which Inspector Crabtree from Allo Allo verbally agrees with homosexuals?

Just a way to try and dismissively gain power in a conversation without actually addressing any of the arguments put forward.
I find it very NPC.
Plus, as the left can't meme, they don't even use it properly: I've been "Okay Boomer"ed by a bloke who was clearly about five years older than me.

TBH, apart from being a piece of Pork meat and used to describe someone as thick (potentially), I don't see what's racist about it? Who is it supposed to be racist against?
