I don't think Freud was alive for 2.5k years. There's a bit of a difference in understanding the human mind and a claim that someone was made pregnant by God and someone is the son of God.... Jesus usually referred to himself as the Son of Man, rather than God. The Greeks made gods out of facets of the human psyche(even Psyche was a Greek god)& it was way after the renaissance that we understood this. Son of Man is used often in the Bible(Old & New Testament) Job, Daniel, Ezekiel... These are prophetic words to the messiah. Jesus alludes to these in his talks, but it is mostly God at Jesus’ Baptism, Transfiguration & crucifixion who calls him his Son & Peter. Aye Would God have spoken in Aramaic?

Aye Would God have spoken in Aramaic? He speaks in the language that we understand. He meets us where we are. We never discover him, he discovers us. But you know this John... The more you talk about it the more you make it seem like a Harry Potter story. I'm in favour of Christianity by the way as a cultural influence. The UK would be a different place without it. As would the art and musical world. And the teachings/ words/ philosophy of Jesus takes some beating. But the veracity of the story takes some believing and relies on it being an historical event that cannot be scrutinised. People tend to embellish their stories about those people in whom they place their faith.

My Mates at work don't discuss Religion with me for some reason as they get wound up..i have very good friends who are Muslim, Hindu etc,, in fact so many faiths at work, it would be difficult to name them all, but i always say that i believe that all the Gods etc get together around a table once a Year & have a Big Conference, but the Month of the Conference is carried forward every year, so for the Conference in 2019 it was in Jan & in 2020 it will be in Feb.
The youngsters get very confused at this. and for some reason it does not get beyond this point, as my mate Win from Burma get upset with Abdul from Algeria and it goes off..so i leave them to it.
Its like "it ain't half hot mum"
