For the price of materials you will get a much better shed for your money than buying one. Chopsaw. Jigsaw. Tape measure. Nails and a hammer...jobs a good one! Failing that there is a farm on the way to Eccleshall (from junction 15 of the M6 way) who are very good and will build it to the size and dimensions you want for an excellent price. Can't remember the name though sorry. It is a left turn after the railway bridge just before the fishing pools...

Need to get a garden shed..... Would be eternally grateful if anyone has any recommendations, please, for a good place to get one from round 'ere. Thx, folks. My mate had to get a new shed & his wife ordered one for him. When it arrived he started searching for someone to erect it for him. “What are you doing?” Said his wife. “Looking for someone to come & build the shed” He said. “You’ve got a degree in engineering” She said. “I haven’t got time to do it & I will make more money at work than it will cost to pay a man to come & do it for us” She said,”You can do it with your sone at the weekend & it will be a bonding experience for you both.” “I’ll take him to the cinema instead” She said,”If you build it together with your son, with the money you’ll save from paying a man, we can get a babysitter, go for dinner together, have champagne 🥂 & when we get home I’ll let you do anything you want with me!” “Anything?” He said. “Anything!” She said. “Son! Where’s me tools?”

Apparently this is a premier example of social engineering. Men and Sheds. It seems to be very much a man thing to have a shed in the garden to retreat to. A smoking or reading room. Somewhere to withdraw to or think in. Perhaps a place for hobbies, if people still have them, like model building or brewing beer. Also a base for keen gardeners and keeping the tools in. It seems the phenomenon of men and sheds is very much a Northern things, like keeping whippets and breeding racing pigeons. There was a time in Stoke, before progress took over, when most homes would have their shed in the garden where space allowed. Somewhere you could hide quietly on a Sunday morning and consider the latest Stoke City calamity.
Anyway. Good luck with your project!
NB. Down here in Somerset the "Men's Sheds" project is like a social support movement. Local councils and charity funding help set up local sheds or centres aimed at male adults wanting help, advice and encouragement in a sort of networking arrangement. Attendants can talk politics, seek help in repairing things like bicycles or old chairs, get advice on personal issues, learn about computers, attend painting classes, fund raise for charities or whatever. If you can name a subject area, the chances are that your local Mens Shed has a related activity going on at some time.

Apparently this is a premier example of social engineering. Men and Sheds.... Except that Murph is a member of the "fairer sex". Bizarrely, women can have sheds too. By all accounts many women appreciate some quality wood that's been well erected. (I know she will thank me profusely for those comments.)
