So many quality moments and there's only been two episodes. "My friend tells me that people walk around inside that black box" - on about their TV The herdsmans wife wanting to do the husband swapping bit was hilarious, I think Mark will need to be careful It also shows us how little we actually need to live and still be happy. Can't wait for the next one.

Didn't see that, some people I can't see anything racist, so far it's been the palefaces that have looked silliest by far and I can't see how that will change. They don't have much materially but I'd be surprised if they have a fraction of the anxiety and depression issues that we seem to have in our society, I suppose we'll find out in due course. It's just a comparison of two cultures as far as I can see and as one of the elders said, hopefully both will gain something from it, the terminally offended probably can't see how someone can possibly survive without the latest fucking iPhone I can see a follow up where a few of the tribe come over here, hope so, they'd get a fantastic reception in geordieland

Couple of reporters from the Daily Heil have gone with the 'viewer outrage' line too, however if you read the comments, where the commenters are hardly universally offended, it seems (just for a change ) they've misjudged it somewhat. I hate putting links to their website so I'll leave it, easily found tho.

I saw and read it, it kind of confirmed my thoughts on this kind of outrage. It's fake and self serving how uninformed people complain. It makes them feel better and less guilty. It really never entered my head that the family were taking the piss out of the poor ignorant villagers in fact it was the opposite!! I find it funny and quite charming to see the reaction to the Brits lifestyle. You can see the genuine happiness in the reaction of the villagers at some of the encounters. I look at what matters they are genuinely happy for the exchange of culture and friendship its it's a wonderful bit of TV. No bullshit no script as such just two different peoples enjoying each others company. The chief definitely enjoyed the beer at the dinner party and why not. Who do you think will be the first to procastrinate and be outraged on the villagers behalf 😁 it should be fun. PS I don't count Bath as he clearly has not watched it or thought about his reply I suspect it was preconceived.

Love anything like this.
I believe the house has been de-constructed since filming finished (which to me would have been important to return that land to the tribe)
As a white male in his late 20's, I have failed to see (in the 2 episodes I have watched) anything that I would have deemed to be racist.
However there may be people of a different backgrounds that pick up on issues that may seem to be prejudice to them which they are entitled to voice, but on the whole I'm unsure as to why anyone would be against 2 different cultures looking to learn off each other.

I can only imagine how cold it seemed to the poor buggers, especially with the RN's penchant for turning the heating off in the winter and having it on full in the summer
