Fuck it let's just not think about it.
That 0-9 last night got me thinking about games where we've smashed teams. I'm thinking 4s, 5s, 6s... obviously in recent years we've had the Liverpool 6-1 and the Fa Cup semi. Then there was winning at Newcastle 0-4, Leeds 0-4 a few years back... can't think of many 5s apart from Bolton. Others?

Posted on full time on Sat in an attempt to distract myself from the game, which unsurprisingly didn't work...
Let's try again.. any nice warm fuzzy happy memories?

In the 60s after promotion.........we beat Villa 6-0, Ipswich 9-1, Northampton 6-2 and arseholes a sweet 5-0 in 1970. Our record is 10-3 vs Baggies before WW2 I think it was.

We beat Norwich at home 5-0 on a Bank Holiday Monday in the spring back when we had Luke Chadwick.
We did Everton 4-3 at Goodison with Arnie scoring the winning penalty in stoppage time.
Now I’m struggling...

The Leeds goalie at the time said stoke wont score 6 past me after we beat them 6-2 n he was right we knocked 7 past him. Happy days. Think the goalie was Nigel martin

It was 6-1 against the Villa (Harry Burrows scored a hattrick against his old club). I was at all of the above games (except the 10-3 of course ) and my late Dad and his mate (who still goes with me) were also at the 9-0 against Plymouth in 1960 and the 8-0 against Lincoln when Tim Coleman scored 7 from the wing. There was also the 6-2 against Chelsea in the League Cup. There are advantages to being an old git!

I remember watching us put 5 past Exeter some time in the early 90s in the old third division. Barnsley too - but that was 5-4 and they scored a couple of own goals!
We also scored 5 at Brighton on the last day of the season when Rooney scored at hat trick

We beat Villa 4-1 at Villa Park on a Sunday on Sky about 5 or 6 years ago. Odemwingie played in that match.

I know its been mentioned above but 6-2 Chelsea was special- 6-0 up at one point
Also a big mention for 4-1 away at the Blues when Chambo ripped them a new one
4-0 to put the Wolves down circa 1981/82
4-0 Man City in front of 40,000 1975...my God we were ace

2001/02 - 5-0 vs Cambridge Utd H I remember nothing about the Stoke performance in this game, just that it was midweek and Cambridge had a tiny away following who sung throughout the second half. They were rock bottom of the league and just went with the attitude "the team's shit, but we've come all this way so let's enjoy ourselves anyway"
