Tough to put in order , I despise January and Sept/Oct aren’t good for me either. Nov and Dec I am ok with and coming into spring time is usually a positive period for me. But January can bugger off frankly lol

With you on that one although I'd swap January for December and May for August. January and February are by a long mile the worst months of the year.

February definitely number 1. Just cause it fucks things around every 4 years. The rebel of calendar months

I quite like August as it is still summer with lots of home grown produce off my allotment and good days out. I hate January and, as a founder member of both the Bah Humbug Club and the Ebenezer Scrooge Appreciation Society I am not all that fond of December. It is the commercialisation of Christmas that I don't like. Don't get me wrong, I do give lots of presents to people I really appreciate.

While we're at it: Days of the Week & colours relating to them. Do any folks associate particular days with specific colours? This is how I've always linked them up, even from a very young age: Mon. Red Tues. Blue Wed. Orange Thurs. Purple Fri. Green Sat. Yellow Sun. Maroon/burgundy Anyone else have similar links? Come on - own up!

I always dread October because I know the hour's going to change at the end of the month & it will get dark an hour earlier. I bluddy hate it. I always like March for the sole reason that the hour changes back again & we get an extra hour of precious light in the evenings.......

Monday - grey Tuesday - purple Wednesday - yellow Thursday - dark blue Friday - red Saturday - white Sunday - dark green Fuck knows why, or what it means.

I'm not really sure why but for me this time October has been a really bad month - maybe because I only got back from hols on 25th September and it's been mostly awful weather since then - loads of rain and it's felt fairly cold to me. I am really dreading the hour change this year and the long, dark winter nights till you can actually see the days getting slightly longer - maybe around the end of January. February always seems very miserable as well as really cold. March is a bit better as we have the hour change to look forward to and then it's (hopefully) the start of a much better spring and summer than we had this year.

I love every month where I don't have to go work in the dark and come home in the dark. Winter is the shittest thing in the world. There should be a season share where we could all emigrate to another country. We have summer here, while the have winter and vise versa. The world would be a much more happy place with a long sunny day on your back.

In response to the original question, I just fucking hate autumn. I can cope with winter, you know what to expect. Autumn is a real cursed bastard, the inevitable slide out of summer, darker and colder and wetter every day. Leaves turning brown and falling off sickens me to the stomach, I never understand why people say it looks pretty, it's revolting. Getting up in the cold and the dark, getting home in the cold and the dark. I loathe that autumn sun as well, bright and low, dew on grass and mists on moors. Disgusting.
I hate snow, it's shit, but give me that over the indecisiveness of autumn any day.

Feb – A ‘proper’ winter month with hard dry frosts and a bit of snow if lucky. May – Green shoots and days getting brighter and longer. July – But only if it’s sunny (ideally about 27 degrees C). Sept – Same as July. Apr – Spring, new life and lighter days. Aug – Can be a bit too hot, but it’s usually quiet at work. June – Cricket and Wimbledon – what a load of bollocks. Mar – Winter beginning to end, signs of spring. And it’s my birthday. Oct – Dark damp mornings with days getting shorter. Dec – Dark mornings, dark evenings, shit weather, but at least it’s Christmas. Jan – Same as Dec but without Christmas. Nov – A crap dark wet month.

The exquisite Planet Murph, where it's always summer, the birds are always singing, the grass is always green (as are Fridays) and the rivers run freely and are made of either gin or vodka - and are permanently chilled - plus they have plenty of little island-y features comprising stacked-up lemon slices. Come on in, the water's lovely! Anyway, I've got a definite theory about the reasons for the particular colours/days link - well, mine, anyway. I'll come back in a bit!

I don't associate days of the week with colours (cause that's just weird ) but I've never like Tuesdays. Tuesday masquerades as a middle of the week day when it isn't, it's a start of the week day. Bastard Tuesdays.
