I would rather his dry Yorkshire humour than Jones' drivel 😆

I would rather his dry Yorkshire humour than Jones' drivel 😆 As Wolves manager he gave one of the best post match interview responses i've heard. After coming in for much criticism from the usual purist acolytes for supposedly adopting roughhouse tactics in games, they subsequently played one of the big 6 off the pitch in a fantastic performance. "I sent them out to kick lumps put of the opposition, what the hell do they think they were doing playing slick flowing football like that..."

One of the few football managers with a sense of perspective (and humour). Could do with many more like him - the whole game might remove itself from its own posterior then.

Fuck it, if we are just going to go for funny managers lets get Chubby Brown in, the press conferences would be an absolute pisser. We wouldn't give a shit about the results as we'd all just be waiting with baited breath for the post match interviews.

Football needs people like Mick, at least we have not had the misfortune of having him as our manager.

Top man Mick. If Jones has a shred of the career Mick has, I'll eat Jacob Rees Mogg's top hat.

I love Mick's dry sense of humour, I think he would get some positivity going around the place and I think his more relaxed demeanour would take down the tension levels a notch which could only be a good thing.
But what's the plan now? Nathan has won a stay of execution I think, so we have to roll with that now it seems.

Like him as a bloke but has his career been that good at club level? Two relegations and two promotions is it?

Like him as a bloke but has his career been that good at club level? Two relegations and two promotions is it? Got a skint Millwall into the play offs in his first season, was a fag paper away from getting the Irish in the Quarter Finals of the World Cup in 2002. Sunderland were pretty much relegated when he took over, got them in the play offs in his first season in the Championship, then automatically promoted the next. Got Wolves (skint at the time) in the play offs in his first season, finished 7th the next then get them automatically up in his third after being top all season. Then kept Wolves in the top flight for 2 season for the first time since the 80s. Got a chronically poorly run Ipswich in the play offs and the top ten twice which wasn't far from a miracle looking back. People may mock him but compared to the utter shit we've had managing our club lately he's an absolute managerial fucking genius!

Considering he's been a manager since 1992, I have to say i'm underwhelmed with that Sheikh. It's hardly a ringing endorsement of a manager is it, considering our own 'failure' at this moment in time has 1.5 promotions under his belt in his first three years as a manager. Compare him to Rowett and he looks a world beater. Compare him to Lambert and they have the same number of promotions on their CV. I'd compare him to Warnock to be honest and his record is knocked into a cocked hat (8 promotions for Colin), although I reckon he's a far better bloke...

NJ needs at least a point and a good, battling performance next match up against tough opposition. Or else. Fulham are hard to beat

I think there is a constant theme here of him outperforming the odds particularly in this league. The key point is though, he's miles better manager than Jones is, was and ever will be!
