I loved him,a poor man's Fuller. His debut for Burnley will live long in the memory lol I'd swear I could have knocked in some of the clear cut chances he had to score with my bell-end. Enthusiastic and strong with a great physique, yes. Goals ratio to chances, erm, pathetic.

Wenger was very complimentary about him after our cup game at Highbury. Couldn’t believe how strong he was. We were all proud about it because he was one of the best managers in the country and we respected him back then. Ade ran them into the ground in that game. I think at one point he chased the ball across their entire back four until they ended up putting it out for a throw in.

I have a vague recollection of him staging a sit in in Pulis's office but I can't remember what it was about.

The "PowerADE" celebration he did was hilarious.

He wasn't the most talented of strikers and certainly missed more than his fair share, but what he lacked in natural ability he certainly made up for by sheer effort, endurance and enthusiasm! Some current, supposedly 'talented' players at Stoke could learn a lot from that...

Loved Ade, came to us with a bad rep but one of those players that we loved for his work rate and physicality. Along with Crossley, he kept us up that year and I'll never forget the goal against Reading in front of the Boothen! A rep of not being able to hit a barn door. This club loves a barn door striker

This club loves a barn door striker 19 goals in 63 league games in a Pulis side ain't too shabby. You also have to look at the way he chased down whichever opposition defender had the ball, often panicking them into wayward clearances that stopped the opposition building attacks.

Adi Akinbiyi seemed like a magic talisman. Played a big part in keeping us up n '03. If we'd gone down, doubtful we'd have made the premier league 5 years later. Inspired some of that DNA we got famous for. Like a morphic resonance that was the perfect fit for Riccy Fuller. His goal against Reading was one of those moments in football. Small margins. The butterfly effect. And I got all that just from listening on the radio! news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/2967967.stmCan't disagree with that. It's gone full circle again now. Be hoping we don't need another Reading moment this season.
Right now I think I'd take it still being in our hands on the final day!

He really was a terrible footballer but he caused defenders a load of problems. Wonder why the Reading goal isn't on the montage, surely that was his most important for us?

07/08 home to Burnley. Ade got warm applause and Jimmy Oconnor got hammered. What was that all about? Bloody ridiculous. A crowd-ometer IQ test. O'Connor is a bonafide Stoke legend.
