They will be cheap and there few other football clubs in the area, so there is potential for growth or so they think. But they don't understand English football fans.

Contrary to popular belief I refuse to believe there isn't someone in the Wide World with more money than sense to buy Stoke. Not saying I want it to happen at all, I just think people would be surprised at the diversity of reasons people own football clubs these days. What possessed Fosun to take over Wolves for instance? So much more to it these days.

Bournemouth have a decent catchment area to call upon, although I'd have thought they'd have expanded the ground by now, but Fleetwood isn't a big town and there's a limit to what they could achieve surely?

They've been building up their infrastructure like training and youth facilities first, much like us when we got promoted and eventually stabilised. My point with Fleetwood is that they've gone from playing in front of 700 people to nearly 4,000 in about a decade and climbed about 8 levels on the pyramid. It all depends on what the intention is of the ownership, some consortiums don't want to transform the club into a top flight one but some to become self reliant on youth development whilst holding their own. There's obviously a limit but I guess it all depends on what the Chairmen count as success. The growth of some clubs over the past few years is remarkable.

I'll always find it funny that the first thing they did was tell Jez Moxey to piss off. It'd be interesting to see if Fosun were interested in Villa, they took over Wolves just after Tony Xia took control of Villa. That one ended quite differently.

new Consortium...very much a spin the wheel option with more bad (& often horrifically bad) outcomes than good. Wolves have really dropped on.

Why would Mr Coates wish to buy Wycombe?

Near London and in a middle class affluent area with no other clubs that close. It's not a working man's game any more. Unfortunately.
