Hard not to like the guy but If he says I put in 14 hours work a day and we create lots of chances again I’m gonna scream

Was that Danny Murphy on there? He laid into Jones' regime the other day didn't he?

Anyone else wish he'd stop going on about Luton? Getting a bit sick of hearing about them now. You can only trade on past glories for so long, I think his last 9/10 months have outweighed that now.
He's very lucky to still be in the job, he wouldn't be on national radio if we'd have lost on Saturday - just reign it in, it's one game. The media are bound to put the boot in having won 3 of god knows how many games, rise above it.
I'm amazed he has time to speak to the press with these 14 hour working days.

I'm amazed he has time to speak to the press with these 14 hour working days. I think the interviews are included in that. Btw, working 14 hours aren't at all an ultimate solution. The outcome is most likely worse than if he'd spent 8-10 hours. It could explain some of his strange decisions at times. Lack of sleep, exhaustion. Definitely nothing to brag about, in my honest opinion.

I’d respect him far more if he just acknowledged the win, didn’t bang on like he’s won the league and go to several media outlets to bang on about how great he is and how he works hard!
That’s all a given, it’s expected you work hard man. Have some decorum Nath. Show a bit of class

Well at least he didn't compare himself to Marcelo Bielsa again. That would have been a bit embarrassing on national radio.

Just monotone now isn't it....one win and he's the new messiah. I'm still very very sceptical, if he was that good he wouldn't have only just got a tune out of this lot.
Hes stubborn, hes finally dropped ince and McLean I think through a lot of supporter pressure, same as the diamond formation but no doubt he will take the credit.
Let's wait and see if the same formation and team are rolled out against Fulham, if he tinkers again after surviving the axe then i think we really have to worry.
Just wished stop feckin talking, cant believe i actually like the answers hart gives..minimal

I can understand why he said what he did after the final whistle....all that pressure and emotion released. However, to be still banging on now, I just think he’s setting himself up for a fall....it’s hardly like we’ve won something or are safe is it? What were the well documented problems that the last four managers had? That would include Pulis as well, so what were they as I don’t recall anything being documented and I’m not sure what he’s getting at.

I second the motion. The fellow has no class. There’s a lot of other things he doesn’t have too. Like how to manage a football team.

What’s the betting he’ll bring back one, or probably more, of McClean, Ince and Butland for the next game. And because he’s a cowardly, self-absorbed idiot, he’ll say that the players they are replacing “got knocks” in training. Almost inevitable.

This is his 2nd job as a manager and he talks about Luton because he was actually a success there hence why he drones on about it - it's the only evidence he clings to he's any good I found the 'problems at Stoke have been well documented and have effected the previous 4 managers' line a bit baffling, perhaps '4' was a miscalculation but still puzzling. The only common denominator would be the owners/board wouldn't it? If he's still employed post-international break I'd be amazed

I must admit I was extremely happy with the result on Saturday, in adversity it’s great to finally have a win in the league.
But come on, it’s 1/11 (win) this season. I am a little bit amazed by his post match interview, what he’s said in the media since.
The arrogance he is showing is mind blowing, I’d rather he just says, we’ve got along way to go, played well today but achieved nothing we are still bottom of the league!!! All this talk about top 6, I mean when was the last time we won back to back?
Get 6/10 wins and a few draws and then maybe we will start to have some confidence. But, our record speaks volumes.
I agree with some of the other posters, working 14/16 hours a day in some jobs shows a lack of competence not working hard.

I am cutting him some slack on this, he's trying to keep his job, so he needs to take opportunities which he gets to sell himself a bit, who wouldn't in the circumstances.

I second the motion. The fellow has no class. There’s a lot of other things he doesn’t have too. Like how to manage a football team. This isn't about class this is about Nathan Jones being good at being a football manager: he is desperately clinging to the belief he has done nothing wrong - it's been 'problems that have effected the last 4 managers', the players don't believe enough, too many individual mistakes and just bad luck regardless of the fact he coaches them, selects and has recruited 12 - in short its everyone else's fault - he even defends the much publicised diamond by saying how many times he used it - the diamond is good, I am good We're witnessing Jones's faith being challenged - in himself If he hasn't learnt from what's happened expect to see McLean at LB and one up top again Fulham- because nathan is always right!

So he works 14 hours a day and that is now taken to mean he is incompetent? I've heard it all now. Just admit you can't stand the bloke for no particular rational reason and lets all move on. He is correcting 4 years of horrendous mis management. If it was an easy job Lambert and Rowett would have sorted it already. The guy is busting a gut to sort our shitty club out. You know I sometimes find myself agreeing with how Rowett eventually turned on the fans. If I was manager I'd tell all the negative goons to stick it up their arses and dare I say it, fuck off down the Vale.
