No mate tend not to go that many these days so pulled this one out of the hat as fancied it and looking forward to it immensely Followed England all over in years gone by but rarely went to many home games as much preferred away If there’s one thing every football fan should do it’s watch England abroad at least once You? Couldn’t agree more but find that once you’ve done your first, there’s no going back. It’s a different buzz. Not sure yet mate, was only expecting an allocation of 6-700 so as I couldn’t guarantee I’d get a ticket I didn’t book anything Rumour is we’ll actually get 2200 so I stand a good chance - will find out hopefully next week. If I get one then I’ll move hell & high water to find an affordable flight and some cheap accommodation out there, never good leaving it until a ticket is confirmed as everything usually spikes but I really didn’t expect to get a ticket this time. Here’s hoping! Maybe catch you out in Sofia. Yeah mate enjoy Cmon England

Prague was a no go once it was decided to be a Friday or a Saturday and everything that will go with it especially after Amsterdam and Berlin matches recently for weekend games ...it’ll attract an average age of 19 We fly to Sofia on Thursday ....3 Stoke 1 West Brom You want to head to The Ale House in Sofia. Great little unique place where you can poor your beer like a petrol pump and fill it to the amount you want to pay. Eastern European cities are the stuff of dreams. Far too nice for the allowance of English yobs.

Honestly, if you pay more than £1.30 for a beer there I’d consider it expensive. You will always find places more expensive than others, but the local bars and pubs you’re probably looking between 95p and £1.30 and then the bigger more popular places you’re looking between £1.30 and £1.90. Still ridiculously cheap so it’s all about finding the surroundings you like really.

Not that Prague is going to be busy anyway... but also been told today that a very famous Czech singer, Karel Gott, died on 2nd October and there is going to be a public funeral/ceremony on Friday and mass on Saturday. He was like royalty and even talk of their being a state funeral for him. So - expect a load more folk turning out for that too!

I can't think of a worse place to be on friday night than Prague. 6,000 england fans many who think they are on a stag do getting absolutely wasted....sounds horrific. I was a regular business visitor to Prague during the late 1990's when few foreign visitors ventured there and it was just a magical city especially with a scattering of snow. Sadly it's turned into a sleazy hell hole of cheap bars and cheap whores.Just the ticket for many footie fans no doubt.

Q)How to win friends and influence people ? A)Go abroad on the pretence you support a football team , get shitfaced beyond your Sensibilities, annoy and alienate a foreign culture whove probably welcomed you with a smile, commit acts of mindless vandalism at someone else's expense, possibly even attend a football match and then, go home - leaving a ton of damage, vomit and litter. Great eh ? 😑

Great eh ? 😑 Now let’s consider the other side to all of this, the side that doesn’t get spoken of. If done right, they are the best things going. The majority all pay the membership fee every year & spend countless amounts following this great team around Europe & beyond. They treat the locals impeccably and behave like you would expect any other human too. Meet great people, sample some of the best cities in Europe and hopefully see the lads win along the way. These aren’t the type of people you usually find standing in the Irish bars drinking 5 euro pints. These are the lads you find in the packed out away ends every single game no matter where it is. There’s a massive difference. I’m en route to Sofia as we speak & I haven’t seen an ounce of trouble in Prague, it’s been policed brilliantly & been a great trip result aside. The few mindless idiots without tickets & who are not part of the travel club will always get the media attention, but let’s not hit everybody with the same stick, there is 3500 fans over here who’ve done this country proud, once again.

Wasting your time mate Sofia is red hot in the day but goes bloody cool at night ....not many England here as yet but most will head for the main drag ( like la ramblas in Barcelona) and only 20 min walk from stadium ....we got tickets at the stadium yesterday for £9 so a right result with Beer and food cheap and plentiful Enjoy and the women are top drawer
